Don't over hype it bro. The store is solid. Not as life changing as you're labeling it.

To be fair, talking to Dan @ Oak Tree a while back about the beers he can get. He said it's getting harder because more places are selling craft beers. So while he places the orders, he isn't always sure he'll get it.
He said to he always got heads up from Hunterdon on what beers were coming in, not so much now.

Used to be....they don't seem to give a crap anymore. Nothing is ever in stock and everything they have is pretty much old and dusty. I live 2 minutes away and stop in all the time and it gets worse and worse by the week. It's so so so sad what has happened to that place - 5 years ago it was a wonderland in a world where nobody had craft beer.

Tap Room is at the Somerset Hills Hotel, while the Stirling Hotel has The Tavern, just to clarify. I have never been to Stirling Hotel, but Tap Room at Somerset Hills is great!

You got to get to the Stirling Hotel, very casual. If you're 2 minutes away from Oak Tree then you are in my neck of the woods, and since you already go to Somerset Hills then Stirling is near by. (Depending on how you get to Somerset Hills.)

Heading to Oak Tree tonight -- even if it's gone downhill I'm sure I'll find something I can't get in Chicago.

I've done pretty well so far, had a Carton Boat Beer on tap last night, and also found (and drank) an Old Viscosity, DFH 120 Minute IPA and World Wide Stout, a Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, some Troegs Java Head, and a few others. Just found some 2011 Long Trail Imperial Porters in the back of a cooler here in HP, too. Definitely getting to taste a lot of good stuff, even if it's not the rarest or hardest to find.

Oak Tree was a fun trip -- thanks to those who recommended it. I stocked up on Weyerbacher (Tiny, Blithering Idiot) and other East Coast stuff. I dig that most things are available in singles so I could try a lot of different things. Also worth noting that both staff members I interacted with were super helpful and nice.
