The production company is based here in Bend; I wonder if it was a bigger hassle than they anticipated running an event out of town? I didn't go to Big Woody, but some friends volunteered at the festival, and it sounded like it was just a lot more complex and difficult than Little Woody here. They have a lot of goodwill built here that could secure special kegs, etc. and I wouldn't be surprised if running an event in Portland without that built-in community was tough.
