No Email for New Messages

    For the past few days I have not been receiving emails when I get a new BM. I checked my setting and I still have it checked to send a message and my email is correct. Just didn't know if you guys were aware or if anyone else is having this problem.

    Our email server is new, but I've successfully sent and received emails manually and via the forum. I've pinged others and they're getting them too.

    I'll investigate.

    Did you check your junk folder? Mine were going to my junk for a solid part of the day yesterday, but all seems back to normal today.

    This was probably when our DNS was switching over to the new servers.

    My email system doesn't have a separate junk folder. But thanks for the idea, I had to check to make sure.

    I just turned on my settings and I started getting emails upon receiving new conversations.

    I haven't been getting e-mail notifications for a few months now.

    I am still not getting emails when I get new conversations. This was working until recently. Something is wrong.

    It looks like some mail servers might be blocking emails from beeradvocate.com as a result of our DNS change; aol.com and rr.com being two of them, which impacts some users in this thread.

    We'll look into contacting them to remove the block, but in the meantime you can always try using another email.

    Mine is a gmail account. I should have been clearer in my original post. I have no problems receiving thread notifications, but I'm not getting anything when I have new conversations.

    Check your spam folder, and ensure emails from beeradvocate.com aren't being flagged as spam.

    I did. Like I said before, no problems with the thread notifications. I'm not getting the conversation notifications.

    I'll have to check the logs later. My test account uses a gmail account and it's getting emails just fine.

    Our DNS has been completely updated as of today. Bounced emails due to any related issues are almost non-existent now. Emails are being sent to numerous domains without issue.

    Note: We're still seeing bounces from AOL, but I've put in a report to their postmaster. Hopefully they'll resolve things on their end soon.

    Great. I'm see no more AOL bounces.

    I'll consider this issue resolved now.
