I'm pretty sure they posted exactly that on Facebook or somewhere.

Selling 2014 No rules? If that's what you mean, no, as far as I knew 2015 was the first year (with brewery only 12oz, and 22oz in distro)

An absolutely obsurd amount of it is in Colorado for no reason. No one knows what it is, so it just sits on the shelves.

I have 2 bottles aging. Went to a bottle share, and someone cracked one. This shit is sweeter than a fresh Prop. Hopefully aging them a year will fix that issue; it's seriously undrinkable past 2oz tasters.

I've got a 2015 bomber that I'm happy to split if you (or anyone else, really) are ever interested. No way I'm attempting to solo that one!

Don't worry, it only gets worse. As the booze and barrel tone down from aging there is nothing left to balance out the sweetness. I seriously do not understand the appeal of this beer. About the only nice thing I'll say about it is that it trades well...

It's all the "bros" who want it just for the novelty of it's high abv. Same people who like the 30oz snifters from The Bruery so they can "dome a bottle solo"...

I was trying to think of a good description for the last time I drank a 2016 bottle and was disappointed. You nailed it. I'll be surprised if a I buy a single bottle.

If they bring back the original recipe they released in the 12oz bottles, I'd continue to purchase NR and maybe even wait at the brewery on release day for some. That batch had by far the best balance and was sweet, but not cloyingly so. Bombers of batch one were OK, but had wild variation from bottle to bottle. Some were cinnamon bombs, others were sugary sweet, and a few seemed decently balanced but not as well as the 12oz bottles. Batch two compared to batch one the quality suffered immensely and it just seemed like a mess that they pushed out to make a quick buck. Guessing this batch will be more of the same but hopefully they honed in the recipe a bit more? We'll find out soon.

I think nostalgia has gotten the best of you. All the releases have been great, but none of them have stood the test of time in the taste department. Yep, you heard it, @AnchorDrops and I agree on something!

I never experienced the wild variation from bottle to bottle for batch 1 like others have mentioned now or in the past. I guess I must have been lucky with the few bombers I had.

Also didn't get the batch 2 being significantly less quality as batch 1, either. I felt b2 had less barrel versus b1 but still thought the flavor and structure were on point.

Surprised to see a few posts discounting this stuff now but then again, I'm not. It is borderline cloying and stuff like that can be polarizing for different people.

No, I just dislike bad or infected beer. It's not my fault some of you guys have low standards.

It's not good form to be critical of beer on forums like this when you are trying to flip massive amounts of it nationally for trade. Now that the trade hype has subsided, it's much easier to be honest about it.

Hah, so hype-train it up to initially inflate value then criticize it down as additional batches arrive, it's easier to come by and the newness wears off. Good stuff....

Well said. That is the beer scene all because of hoarders and traders.

Typically sweetness tends to increase, if anything, with age. Or at least the perception of it does, because the bittering flavors which provide a counterpoint to the sweetness do fade with time. With both B1 and B2, I've kept a single bottle to open when the subsequent batch came out for science's sake, and I'm of the firm opinion that No Rules is best consumed fresh or traded away.
