It's hard to feel bad for Chicago. I've seen the beers that sit on shelves there as compared to metro Detroit.

 

No Rules officially hit A2 today en masse. One store had it yesterday and another one should be getting it Friday that I'm aware of, but it seems like multiple stores got their delivery today.

It's funny--the Whole Foods on Eisenhower laughed when I told them that I had heard that people were getting less than last year, because they were getting more. Contrast that to one guy looked pretty salty when he told me that he got one case this year. Last year he got 15--I know because I saw them all out on the floor.

Beer distribution continues to be an enigma.

 

Saw about a dozen sitting on a shelf at Meijer in A2 last night. They were all sold out by this morning. They do however still have KBS 750ml bottles locked away in the back. You just have to ask.

 

Saw a bunch on an end cap of a suburban GR Meijer store on sale for $14.99/bottle.

 

Sweet baby Jesus, this stuff is sweet AF.

I believe it is better than last year, mouthfeel seems a bit more substantial, more coconut, less cinnamon, more barrel, but goddamn the sweet.....

I finally cracked a Publican Porter to cut the remainder of the bottle and I must say it helps and, god willing, stave off the diabeetus for awhile.

 

It must be so we Michigan folk have at least something tradeworthy to send to Chicago.

 

Hey No Rules fans. Any chance this is still on shelves Easter weekend either in GR or Metro Detroit area? Heading back to the area and would love to get a bottle.

 

I would say it'd be around in GR. It was just about everywhere and plentiful when I was there last Monday. You may need to travel to the smaller, out of the way stores but in my humble opinion, it'll be there.

Definitely lower volumes this year on the east side and harder to find. Problem is that it is there, but you have to ask for it. Even the big box grocery stores keep it stashed away and available on request only.

 

I'm assuming not, but does the UP get any distribution? I'll be driving through a whole lot of the UP next week and would love to pick up a bottle.

 

Martha's Vineyard has plenty that hasn't moved quickly in the past week or so.

 

Meijer in A2 has restocked its shelf with more no rules. About 15 bottles.

 

Drinking this now. Very very sweet ( yes it needed the second very). But once it warms the flavor really pops. If only it was in 12 oz bottles.
