Funny, I was just thinking that everything about this release seems like one elaborate episode of Punk’d. This just seems too over the top (especially when considering the beer).

 

Yep. My first thought really was "Did they pay someone to do this?"

I mean. Suppose he did buy for a whole FB group. Assume 1/2 the people want 1 case, and the other half want 1/2 case. Is he really buying for 200ish people?

Just bizarre to me.

The reply on that tweet was that he wasn't doing it for a profit....even if you are muling for hundreds of people, I would expect there would need to be some sort of gain here?

 

Seeing some of the FT with No Rules in the trading forum sure is interesting as well. The whole situation is so strange, I struggle with words.

How can this be good for either the brewery or the consumer? They basically screwed themselves in terms of people visiting throughout that coming weeks to get a bottle and then buying other stuff while there. In addition, they ended up with a bad situation in terms of who can get a bottle. They cut distro, but then let one guy basically become their distro.

Wonder what % of the total bottles that represented...
