Per a Spec's beer guy, from a Capitol Beverage Co. rep, Austin is not getting Merry Mischief either.

That's some smart business right there.

So did I, but I was hoping they'd be smarter.

    Nope.

Nope, but I will be in New Braunfels on Sunday for Wurstfest. Maybe the Gabriels in San Marcos there will have some bottles.

There are several cases at my local HEB and was wondering if it's really worth the money? I just havent had a bomber from Samuel Adams that has blown me away.

I'll be heading to Houston next week, hopefully I'll stumble on a few bottles. Let me know of anybody from Austin wants one.

Fat Jack is great... if it's on that level, I'm in.

Any idea why Austin got shafted?

Because Sam Adams is distributed by a company that is better suited to releasing Miller/Coors?

I'll never understand how their minds work. We get Utopias. We get their barrel-aged offerings. But no seasonal offerings other than the common variety. They probably cut it to put 1 more row of 24oz cans of Coors Light on the shelf.

Start bitching at Sam Adams about these idiots at Capital Beverage. Apparently their lack of Fat Jack fell upon deaf ears.

Unfortunately it seems they control at least a 50 mile ring around Austin as well... so no Merry Mischief in Georgetown, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, or Round Rock either.

I'll have some for y'all though. My guy in Corpus promises he'll have some in this week. :grinning:

Still have more at Gabriel's? I've picked this beer up twice and put it back down. Maybe the third time I pick it up, I'll actually buy it. Lol

I've seen plenty around Houston.. picked up a bottle myself, but haven't tried it yet. I had Fat Jack at the Beerfeast in Sugar Land and thought it was very, very good.

If anyone in Austin is looking for this, Sunrise just posted that they have it in. No idea on price, but it might be your only chance to get some without leaving town.

Think I paid around 8 or 9 bucks for mine. Grabbed some other stuff as well and they didn't have them stickered yet so don't have an exact price....

Sounds about right. I think I paid $6.99 for mine at Gabriel's in SA, but Sunrise always has a little mark-up

I just bought 2 from Sunrise, $6.99, unsure if anybody else is getting a case in Austin.
