 I passed on it last year due to mediocre reviews. Was hoping to try it this year.

With Fair State releasing a fresh hop beer, I could honestly care less about Wet.

If Castle Danger's fresh hop is as good as last year, that is all I will need.

    this times a million
that was the best fresh hop I had last year, heard they're canning it this year
Will replace todd as my go to once it comes out and until it lasts

This one has a lot of 5 ratings, but only two people gave it that in 2015.
I was one of those two, so obviously I'm going to miss another year of it.
But thanks for passing on the news. I was wondering about it.

Last year's was definitely not very good. I didn't have it crazy fresh, maybe 20 days after packaging but it fell off incredibly fast!

Had a very similar tasting "fresh hop" beer from a somewhat local brewery that tasted so similar. Almost like a lager with very little hop flavor or aroma.

I wonder what happened to last year's batch? When did Surly start using their centrifuge? Did they have it for the 2014 release? For some reason I wonder if running it through that just pulled all the hop goodness out. This "localism" brewery I went to filters the shit out of everything (centrifuge included) and their fresh hop beer tasted like it. Literally almost no hop flavor or aroma. It was nuts.

I thought last year's was great. Simcoe on its own isn't my favorite hop, but it was a well made beer for sure. Tasted nothing like a lager to me, but everyone is entitled to their own palate. Hopefully it'll be back next year. I like that they switch up the hops, something new/different to look forward to.
