I am getting ready to brew a German Pilsner and my LHBS has NO NOBLE HOPS. No Cz Saaz, no Hallertau MF, no Spalt. They have US Saaz, US Tettnang, and US Liberty. No US Hallertau. Anybody have any suggestions on great subs for the traditional Noble 4? I plan on entering this beer in a competition in May and want it to be spot on for style if possible. I would hate to have it be a great beer, but get dinged because it is missing "Noble" flavor and aroma. I realize that I can probably order these hops on line and have them shipped, but I would like to avoid it if possible.

    Thanks for the help.

Sterling for Saaz, Santium for Tettnang.

Vangaurd, Mr. Hood or Liberty all have some HM character.

I do think it is best to get the real thing if you can.
