But...it's barrel aged..so that justifies the price, right?

375 ml makes it a definite no for me.

It's pretty good, but not $20 for a 375 good.

Where you see it's 375? On their IG account they made a reference to it as #BigBottles so I'm assuming its nothing near 375 ... more like 22 or 750

Was going to stop by tomorrow for a bottle but now I am not going to. I had Fig Poppa after their 3rd anniversary and it was good but not $20 for a 12 oz bottle good. I don't think there's any beer that is almost $2 an ounce good.

They said BiggieBottle... For the name. Awful value for just an ok beer. Disappointing release.

And their response is kind of annoying on many fronts, but especially the idea that "we don't have much so we must charge more!!"

I wouldn't mind it so much if the $20 came in the form of a 22oz. It'll still be priced high, but with justification.

If they did 22oz bottles, they could have done 116 bottles. I wouldn't have minded so much the price for something of 100 bottles. But for 375ml, fuck no. That's just stupid.

Yes, this is a bad deal, but they only need 200 people to think it's worth the chance or good trade bait. These won't sell out quickly, but they will sell out.

Hate figs. Hate figs in a bottle. Hate figs in a small bottle. Hate the price.

Was planning on going to get one, but certainly not at $20 for 375ml. No thanks.

Well, we're all enablers. You can't really be shocked at the price when you're ok with paying $9-$10 for their DIPAs.

    Thank you ... I totally missed PlinyTheYoubgest's screenshot ... agreed with others - F that for 375ml

They had a really good run with their IPAs, though. The latest Tongue Tickles batch was awesome and *some* of the Showers bottles were probably worth it. But that's 22oz for $8-9. I see much more value in that compared to $20 for 375ml. That's ridiculous for a first time bottled release of a beer that's getting lukewarm reception. Also, that response from them is irritating.

Given that they had hella people in line, I don't see a reduction in their price points anytime soon. It's par for the course for LA/OC breweries.

I won't be supporting that price point for a 375ml. I mean, shit. Lost Abbey hovers around 15-16 and that's something that sits on the shelf. After they release a couple of these that don't live up to some extreme devotion, they're going to be holding on to them at that price... well, at least I would hope they would.

Compare the first showers selling out to 3-4 newer versions in. They hype died down some.

Even the well regarded breweries are going to start pushing people away eventually with pricing like this. I try not to frequent any of the local breweries around me because the pricing of beers AT breweries is ridiculous in OC/LA. The cost of doing business cannot be that much higher than San Diego where pints are $1-2 cheaper on average and you actually get a pint not 10-12oz.

Mosaic being released today. No bottle limit. I really didn't want to have to drive down there today...
