Didn't see the thread yet. I know I'm busy until next weekend and I'm just gonna assume everyone else is as well. Prove me wrong!

Nope, next weekend. Doing the third iteration on a stout recipe that is good but needs just a bit more hop representation. Hey, I'm left coast. Last weekend was a Sculpin clone.

Brewing a pale ale tomorrow. I know it's going to be all Citra and Amarillo, still haven't decided on the exact hop schedule.

my consumption is far behind my production level at this point. i need to get about 10 more cornies to stock-pile for the long winter ahead. last year was rough, work gets nuts, and the weather gets BAD, so no brewing from november till march. got a head start this year but running out of room quick. had to skip this weekend but a weekday brew might be in the cards.

Bottled an ESB fermented in an oak barrel ala Firestone Walker unfiltered DBA. Might transfer my Imperial stout from primary to my bourbon barrel after a gravity check.

I have to get the brewery/garage back in shape but I finally made a little progress today. Hopefully it'll be straight enough that I can brew by Wednesday, and at least a couple of batches this weekend.

No brewing, just dryhopping a Guldenberg clone after work. I also have to drop off some paperwork for an upcoming home brew competition.

I did an extract Centennial IPA yesterday. 60, 10, 5, 2, 1 additions (and will get a 2oz dry hop). May have been overkill, but I had the hops on hand.

Yesterday I brewed a Centennial IIPA with 6oz at 5min or less with a 30 min hopstand and 3.5oz reserved for keg hopping. I also used 2oz of Roasted Barley for color.

Today I will crank out a Simcoe Pale ale.

20 or so minutes into my boil for my "session IPA" with too much crystal malt. Decided to move all hop additions to 15 minutes on. I just stepped on my hydrometer, but I fortunately got a pre-boil reading before I did. I can accurately determine what my post-boil OG is by using the pre-boil gravity and pre- and post-boil volumes, correct?

Yes, well you can make a very accurate approximation. Using your mash efficiency from your pre-boil volume you can figure it out with the post boil volume of liquid, the approximation part comes from how much volume did you add with the hops? Usually not much, but I did a brew last week that finished with a gallon of whole leaf hops in the bottom of the kettle.

So I need to factor in an estimate of hop absorption in terms of of adding it or removing it from my final volume? Should I just go what the sight glass says at knock out? 8oz of pellet hops in this guy.

I'd say a good guess by you would be as good as anyones. Do you just dump the entire boil into your fermenter? If so, you could make your estimate based on how much trub settles to the bottom of the carboy. Sorry, thats probably not much help.
