NoDa Brewing Company to Start Barrel Aging Program

    From FB: "The start of our barrel aging program. Picked up six red wine barrels from Laurel Gray Vineyards and Divine Llama Vineyards in Yadkin Valley." -NoDa Brewing Company :grinning:

    P.S. They also hope to pick up four Bourbon Barrels next week.

    I am sure if you would have donated a few barrels they would have been happy to get started a few months ago. :wink:

    So true... They already have a pretty good foothold in the beer market in Charlotte. Just hope this continues to see wider distrobution into let's say, South Carolina. :slight_smile:

    Awesome news on the NoDa program!
    As for SC, I say we withold NoDa brews from our brothers and sisters until Coast finds its way up here......
    I am, of course, kidding. Uh, go Clemson! And USC! And CofC, Citadel, Furman, Bob Jones, Converse, Wofford, Winthrop, Francis Marion, and all the rest!

    I am glad to see NoDa experimenting a little with barrels. So far they have made several phenominal beers, and have been very consistant. I just hope they don't fall into the habit of putting beers in barrels just for the sake of putting beers in barrels...

    This is why I think I love NoDa Brewing so much as they had a distinct plan for the barrels quite some time back... Kudos guys and best of luck with playing with those -bals. Cheers!

    Yeah I feel like NoDa makes very good decisions with their beer (Nodajito being the exception). I bet they put out some great barrel aged beers although the batches will be pretty small based on the number of barrels I saw.

    NoDajito sells like crazy when I have been in the taproom. I personally like it. Not gonna buy a growler of it, but a pint is damn tasty on a hot day.
