Left Hand Wake Up Dead Nitro is one of my favorite imperial stouts even stacked against some of the top barrel aged examples out there.

Sierra Nevada might be another easy-to-get (in season) option to try.

Stone IRS and Expedition are near the top of the non-BA stuff for me, though I have a bottle of Founders Imperial Stout waiting for consumption in the fridge.

TG-Mornin' Delight for me nothing else is even close.
I know few have tried it and hope that in the future they
will make bigger batches so more people can try it.
Expedition stout is also very good
    Founders Imperial stout also.

Good responses everyone. I forgot about Old Raspy. Had it, love it. And whoever said best $/oz by a long shot, absolutely! Forgot about Founders, too. A couple of you have me wondering about Great Lakes Blackout now, as well as Victory Storm King.

Interesting personal tasting notes in response to a couple that were mentioned that I've had and forgot to put on my list:
    - Sam Smith's: Yes, had it and love it. It's one of those beers that I personally rate WAY higher than BA avg ratings
    - Yeti is completely the opposite. I absolutely hated it and can't understand the ratings it gets. It was SOooooo dry and roasty to me. The only beer I've ever had that actually made me thirsty.

It's amazing how many I forget about until reading through this post. Ones that others have mentioned here that are not on your list but are my favorites as well are:
    • Sierra Nevada Narwhal
    • Bells Expedition
    • Founders FIS
    • Dark Horse Plead the Fifth
Have to agree with you OP. Darkness was amazing!
