Is OA Yeti the only one? It occurred to me when I was reviewing my list of "core" brews for the eventual brewing company I want to run, that, I can't actually think of any other examples of stouts, imperial or otherwise, that have been barrel-aged in "plain" oak barrels.

What are some other examples, if any?

Just as an aside, usually anything oak-aged but not bourbon barrel aged is aged on wood oak chips. To me, it gives off less flavor than adding to an actual spirit barrel.

But some of the other ones I can think of:
    Elysian The Dread
Left Hand Oak Aged Wake Up Dead

Edit: Oh and obviously in non-stouts you have Belgian breweries who have been aging beer in oak for hundreds of years.

I think those however are often pre-used wine barrels rather than new. Certainly that's the case at Cantillon.

Old Dominion Oak Barrel Stout, though Yeti is leaps and bounds better

Virgin oak barrels are much more expensive, whereas bourbon barrels are readily available since they can only be used once to produce bourbon. Plus the residual flavor of the distillate tends to go very well with stouts.

As mentioned, oak-aged stouts that don't use bourbon barrels are typically made with oak staves, spirals, cubes etc. rather than casks.

The Bruery has three oak aged imperial stouts that I think are pretty solid, ARBE Light, Medium, and Alligator Char. I had the Light and Medium just this past weekend, I enjoyed both.

Sure, sure, in fact, now that you mention it, I think OA Yeti is aged on oak chips rather than a plain barrel. I imagine it's probably actually easier to get a "spent" barrel than a new one.

Ooo, OA Wake Up Dead sounds pretty stellar, never seen that one before.

Of course I will, someday, if I'm ever able to find it!

Thanks for the reminder on this one, though. I had thought this was a bourbon-barrel aged imp stout. I'm glad and interested to know that it's straight oak-aged.

Definitely try dominion oak barrel stout. It packs a lot of flavor into being a somewhat "smaller" beer. It's a beer I've personally revisited many times.

Not a stout, but Wynkoop makes an Oak-Aged Imperial Brown Ale. Not that great of a beer but worth it because of the low price.

Caldera Mogli. Still haven't tried the Bourbon barrel aged, but the oak aged is delicious

Dogfish Head has a few 10,000 Gallon Oak Conditioning tanks they use for a couple of their beers.
