Nope. Of course, without the actual records of the brewery, always hard to tell - especially during the era when brewery bottling was still rare so most beer was racked into kegs at the brewery itself.

The best one can do these days is state when a beer was first advertised (and that, in turns, depends on if those papers still exist). I did my research primarily looking for US-brewed IPA's that predated or were contemporary with the first ads for Ballantine's India Pale Ale in the late 1870s.

IIRC, Frank Jones' ads (either the brewery's or retailers') didn't specify "India Pale Ale" until after the turn of the century - before that it was just "Frank Jones' Ale". After 1900, they also advertised "Homestead Ale" ("a brilliant ale"), a "Lively Cream Ale" and a "Golden Ale" along with "Stock Porter" and "Nourishing Stout".
