Noobs Get In Here Hints and Hauls Thread

Not sure if it matters, but ill be gone this weekend from Thursday-Sunday. Is the first box already sent?

 

looks like it went out on friday last week, i think you might be ok not worrying about it though, i have a feeling i know where the first box is going...

 

1. I will be shipping West.
2. I have never been to my target's state

 

I could have hurled the box to the first porch by now, put me in coach.

What's a post up in here without a hint?... There is a rap song about my target's state, however his city is not mentioned within the lyrics.

Does your target's state know how to party? [My state] knows how to party.

 

I can't say for sure, as I've never been to my target's state.

 

Hint #2: My target lives in a state which I have never visited.

If it was sent Friday, I'd imagine first box arrives today to someone's doorstep! Can't wait for the pics!



Another hint of mine, my targets state was one of the first 8 states to be created

 

Suppose that means the Seinfeld reference was not about the Michigan bottle deposit episode then.

 

Oh nice call! I was not thinking about that episode. Such a good one

 

And the first box has landed! Had a pretty good idea that I was the target, since CJmullins' hint noted 22 wants, and well I have 22 wants (now had). Great box and what a way to start this off. I of course went with my wants, but the stout category really, really, really had me contemplating. I'm gonna post a picture soon, it's been a very long day at work. This box however made my day.

so what I have kept from the box:
IPA: 2 cans of Heady Topper-Major want that I have never had so I am looking forward to these, they are already in the fridge.
Stout: 2 bottles of KBS-Want! Never had and these will most surely be enjoyed. (the other stout is very nice as well, tough choice).
Surprise: FW Sucaba-Love everything I have had from FW and I haven't had this (yet). Wife just got me an awesome FW Teku for my birthday on Monday, so this is getting poured into it!

Great box, and I replaced the bottles with some fine selections I think will be enjoyed and appreciated. I am thinking about shipping out on Monday to avoid the box sitting in a hot summer weather warehouse.

Wow top notch start -- great job, CJMullins! Nice haul, jloomis! You're in for a treat with that Sucaba... I was very very impressed when I had my first bottle of it, and I don't even much like barleywines. Wondering how loaded those other 3 wells were if 2x KBS was the "almost didn't take." I have an idea, but will keep it to myself and see what magic descends upon the next poor soul...

 

I hope I'm the next target! Because my list is very smaller than average, like his hint said. *crosses fingers*

 

Awesome first box, way to start it off! CJMullins is one crafty bastard though! I thought for sure the first box was coming to me, because i also had 22 wants at the time (have added some more since then), and didn't even think that anyone else would have the same number! Oh well, I guess I will just wait patiently until someone decides to drop one on me!

 

You absolutely had me duped. I thought there was no chance anyone else would have had the same number of wants, so I didn't even bother looking. Hopefully I'm not too far down the list, or I might have to drink the IPA that I had planned on putting in the box!
