Yep,that's for sure! I probably mentioned the word Whirlyball one more time in that final sentence, than I intended to. Ah well, what can you do?

Pro tip for those in the city with young kids: take them out to Willowbrook Wildlife Center for a few hours then stop at Noon Whistle for a few crowlers because it's "on the way back".

The problem with getting there the first time is google maps doesn't tell you to turn, and basically says you've arrived at your destination after you've passed the light. You look around and see nothing resembling a brewery.

The point is, google is inherently sinister.

I refuse to use those intrusive mappers.

Agreed. When you use those gps apps, it lets" Them" know where you are.

Not sure if anyone saw the list of Bernie variants for Friday, but they have them posted in their event on Facebook...

Our Bernie Milk Stout Variations will be tapped at noon and will be available to go as well on draft until they are gone:

    Bernie - Coconut Chocolate
    Bernie - Vanilla Orange
    Bernie - Sea Salt Chocolate
    Bernie - Cinnamon Vanilla
    Bernie - Irish Coffee

All definitely sound worth a pour.

Those Bernie variants sound amazing. Also, has their new NE Style IPA been confirmed for 3/16? I stopped in last night and the girl behind the bar told me that they are releasing 2 beers on Thursday, but not the NE Style. I don't know if she was just misinformed or what, but either way Jive Gummy is still on and it's still drinking great.

Sounds like a trip at lunchtime to Noon Whistle on Friday is in order. They say the variants are to go....just curious if it is crowlers or growlers. All the variants are definitely worth a sample before committing to a fill. Plus Jive Gummy is still on and there may be another IPA releases tomorrow, apparently though there is some confusion present on that. One way to find out....

According to my rep at the brewery, nothing new being released tomorrow. But I'm heading there tomorrow anyway.

Noon whistle typically has a good set up for sports games on weekends too. I'd be surprised if they don't have some NCAA games going over the weekend.

They had a massive projector up for the NFL playoffs last time I stopped by

I stopped in for a crowler of Jive Gummy after work yesterday and the projector was still up, and playing the Northwestern game. It was hoppin in there too, good to see that they're getting good business!

I also noticed they have an unidentified NE IPA on their on tap next board.

So they released High Falutin (Scotch Ale 8.4%) yesterday and Da Percolator (Coffee Scotch Ale 8.5%) today. And that's to go with the Bernie variants today as well. More info and pics on social media.

Any updates on traffic inside? Busy yet or manageable to go in, grab a few samples/crowlers and leave?

Left around 1:30 and the crowd was not bad. There were a lot of people grabbing crowlers of the variants when I was there.

All are solid, with the Bernie - Cinnamon and Vanilla being the best I had.

Here now at the bar.. Cinnamon vanilla and coconut are really good. Great to talk to Paul the head brewer while I'm drinking the beer and hear him explain how he baked the coconut, and rest of the process. A neat conversation. Happy Friday and St paddy's day everyone.

I had a flight of Da Percolator, Bernie Cinnamon Vanilla, Bernie Chocolate Coconut, and Bernie Salted Chocolate. I was hoping to be blown away by at least one of them, and planned on taking home a crowler of the version I liked the best. They were all very good, but none of them really stood out to me - I did like the cinnamon version the best though. Sadly, I didn't leave with a crowler of anything :slight_frown:

Oh I picked up two of those last night after work - there will be no shortage of Noon Whistle in my fridge this weekend!
