Hey guys, I have done a few trades with Northern Cali traders and always have a hard time deciding on extras that aren't distributed to the upper half of CA. Is it usually best bet to throw in brewery only releases or are there plenty of SoCal breweries that don't distribute to NorCal and vice versa? Most of the distribution lists I have seen are state by state so that doesn't really help. Any insight would be wonderful! Cheers
I have noticed that in San Francisco we don't get any iron fist beers, unless someone from one of the beer shops goes down to southern California and buys a bunch to bring back. I always stock up on their beers anytime I go down to LA. Because of the distribution we also don't seem to get as much hair of the dog or avery up here. Whenever I can get some fresh blue dot or Maharaja I stock up when I am down there as well. Hope this helps.
ah yes, duh to Alpine and didnt know about Iron fist not getting distro in norcal. thanks for those guys. Does NorCal get any of the following: Karl Strauss Lightning New English Brewing Manzanita Eagle Rock Monkey Paw i think we need a master reference list started up =)
I've seen plenty of Karl Strauss in NorCal, haven't seen much of the others. You could add mission brewing and bootleggers to that list. Went down to SD this week and picked up some of their stuff.
not much alesmith either there is speedway and grand cru haven't seen much of it other then that bottled. no kern river
I'm in Orange County and I've never seen New English, Manzanita, or Monkey Paw... And to reverse things, I always am looking for 21st Amendment beers, no idea why they ripped those away from us in soCal.
We're opening on/off-premise distribution to NorCal next month. Follow our Facebook page for updates and when and where our beers will be available. https://www.facebook.com/KarlStraussBrewingCompany Cheers, Ryan Karl Strauss Brewing Co.
