my sister is currently in Boston, Northside...Danvers (if that means anything). She wants to find a good bottle shop in that area. Any thoughts/help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. Looking for stuff we can't get in Indiana.....

    thanks!!

There's a Kappy's in Danvers and Peabody (both on 114) and each has an excellent selection.

Berman's in Lexington, which may be a little bit of a drive but has a great selection.

Just drive South on 128 for about 10 minutes. Exit 38 is Redstone Liquors in Redstone plaza. The best store in the Northshore and it's not even close.

I'd have to say that Redstone is the best, but if you want the ability to find gems (and I regret doing this) then head to New England Wine and Spirits in Newburyport. I find that they tend to have "rarer" beers but not quite the selection of Redstone.

Oh, and by the way - I lived in Danvers for the first 20 years of my life.

I second Redstone. A little further down the same street is Center Beverage. A much smaller selection, but if you chat with them for a little while, they almost always throw in a free glass!

One of the things I liked about Redstone's is that they're active on Twitter. You can easily follow them and see what's coming in or has just come in. I think Bogie's does it too, because I see some brewers retweet them a lot.

Bogie's is great and easy to get to from Danvers. Take note that the sign above the door says Alexanders.

Vinnin Square liquors in Swampscott has a great selection too.

Vinnin Square in Swampscott is the bomb! a little out of the way but worth the trip
