I like getting the txt message that they are on their way with my order. So now I will have some Sorta Mostly Dead to pair with my pizza and Joe Bob's halloween special this evening.

Y'all convinced me to give these folks a try. Really looking forward to party cup and to the nelson rye lager. I have high expectations for the sorta mostly dead and hop fu too

I currently have 9 different beers from North Park in my beer fridge. All are very good to most excellent. Having a Save vs Fire now after just finishing a Suddenly Simcoe.

Really curious to hear your assessment of the Nelson rye lager. Wanted to place an order just for that, but my beer budget is blown for awhile.

It was really hard to limit myaelf to one case. I need to cut my beer budget off soon but for now I'll keep riding the high

Just got my case a little bit ago. Drinking the rye nelson pilsner now. Its good but it doesn't quite hit the mark I was.hoping for. I don't know exactly what it is but the rye and the Nelson flavors seem to work against each other more than enhance each other. Nothing wrong with it, it just falls a little flat for me.

Party cup though! I knew I made the right choice getting two packs of that. That bad boy freaking pops

Love the Party Cup. Hmmm, interesting to hear about the lager.

I wanna give it another chance before really judging, I ate a pretty flavorful meal and drank a party cup before it. Plus, when you hit me with "rye" and "Nelson" you've officially set my expectations up into the stratosphere

Sorta mostly dead lives up to the hype as.well. Simple, clean, west coast nectar. Why did people feel the need to "advance" the IPA style beyond beers like this?

Because hazy IPAs made for better pictures on Instagram.

My guess is that its like anything else - people always more, newer, better, stronger. And then things go too far and things regress to the mean, so to speak. Kinda seeing it with stouts again and people clamoring for barrel aged, non-adjuncted over gnarly pastry level sweetness.

Here for the adoration for Sorta Mostly Dead and Comforts of Repetition.

Loved both beers and looking forward to trying Suddenly Simcoe.

My gf accidentally partially opened a can of sorta mostly dead when she was putting them in the fridge (she works from home, i dont) so it was a bit undercarbed when i had it but suddenly simcoe is now one of my favorite IPAs. I gotta have another sorta mostly under proper conditions but if you have both, youre bound to be a happy camper

Sorta is def a treat. I had it straight out of the can and I thought it lived up to the praise. Will have to track another a 4 pk down around LBC/South Bay, as I shared some with the fam.

Gonna have to give Suddenly Simcoe a proper treatment, glassware and all. Haha!

Revisiting Save Vs. Fire on a clean palate and poured into a glass and liking it a lot more. Its a really solid pilsener. Rye isn't super strong but makes for a nice depth of malt character. Nelson is also pretty subtle, a little white wine note on the nose, a bit of grape peel/kiwi skin in the flavor. Wouldn't pick it out if it weren't named and me noticing it could be psychosomatic.

Either way, nice beer and a real nice job of putting a modern US touch on a pilsner without losing the thread

Damn, trying my first Hop Fu now and its another winner. These folks are not a joke. You lot in San Diego have something good goin, must be something in the water.

My one issue so far, I found one of the gnarliest yeast cakes I've ever encounterrs at the bottom of the only can of BiB I've opened. I emailed them just to let them know, but it was on a level I have only ever approached in the tail end of an old 750 of bottle conditioned Belgian stuff.

Anyone else encounter this or did I get the golden ticket?

Did it look like a snot rocket from a giant with lung cancer? Ive seen a bunch of posts from people getting those in BL and MTs stouts. Ive never seen it in person but BL has commented on it. I think they said theyre yeast poopies that settle to the bottom of the barrel. They try to look for it and shut down the transfer before they get poured into bottles but sometimes they do get through.
Also, if you cant tell, im not a brewer and just regurgitating what i remember reading to the best of my ability so grain of salt and what not

It's probably beer mixed with the fining agent they use (biofine, gelatin, etc) which pulls out various things in suspension. Sometimes if might not all drop out through the bottom of the tank.

I have ordered yet another mix case delivery from NP. I need a frequent buyer card as this is 6th case in less than 3 months. Putting together a box for my bud in Penn and it must include Sorta Mostly, Suddenly Simcoe and Comforts of Repetition. I have previously sent him HopFu.

Way worse than the giant's snot rocket I've encountered in other (usually heavily flavored) stouts
