I have a meeting in Frenchtown Township Mi today. If I have time I hope hop down to Ohio for some beer shopping. I will be pressed for time though so Anderson s or Joesph's may be out. Is there anywhere just inside the state line off of Dix, Telegraph or 75 that carries craft? I think the answer is no, but hoping a local can help me out. I am hoping for Hopping Frog, Smuttynose, Bruery and Alsmith 22's and 750's. Thanks in advance
I hate to say this but you are pretty much screwed. I have found Headhunter IPA at Meijer on Alexis just off of 75, but that's about it.
North Toledo is the problem. In Toledo, when you can't go to your regular places or a bigger place, there are good stores in parts of Maumee or South Toledo, or you have to head into Sylvania. Unfortunately, there's no decent place off Alexis, and the only place right off the Dixie highway is in Perrysburg. The only thing I can think of is that All of the Kroger stores in Toledo have been increasing their craft beer variety, but those are big stores too. Maybe there's something I'm not aware of, but that's what I know.
Marino's might be a good option. I haven't been there in awhile so give them a call. It's a little farther than you were looking but Toledo isn't that big so heading there won't be to much out of your way.
yea just head to marinos. i was there not long ago and they had everything youre looking for. and if youre going to marinos beverage depot then you might as well go down the street to andersons and josephs beverage center. watch dates though because sometimes marinos will have 3 month old head hunter sitting next to fresh. anderons usually has the fresher stuff because they seem to get the most traffic.
