Thanks for the tips! The hydrometer I use is the one that came with my first brew kit I bought a few years ago. I am very very pleased with how the beer taste so far, much better than I expected

What do you mean 15 minute steeps for each stage? How may stages @ 170-180?

I use extract too, bought a can of it from YCH a while ago - cheap bittering.

Sorry. I mean to steep for 15 at FO and then cool to 170 and steep for another 15 then cool to pitch temps.

I just put 10 gals to bed  with GigaVermont...no Irish Moss...2 oz 20 min FWH + 1/2 # of hops late...+1/2 # DH in keg in 10 days...if it's like my last batch it will clear before I want it to...in about a month or 2.

Here is the final product of my first real attempt at a NEIPA (hopefully the picture works this time). The aroma is great, but the color is a little darker than i want it to be. (Maybe a bit too much Munich) Also it is much more bitter than it is juicy. I think I am going to get rid of any hop addition before 5 min left in the boil. Also going to play around with the hop blend. Might go all mosaic next time, or Simcoe and Amarillo. We'll see.
