Northeastern PA tasting groups?

    I'm located just outside of Scranton. I'm sure there are other BA's in the same area. Anyone interested in trying to setup some small quarterly/every few month tastings?

    I live in Moscow. I used to work in Kingston, though. Know of any bars that allow/permit bottle sharing in the area? I know there's a few other NEPA residents on here.

    Right now I'm really enjoying sours & saisons, but love a good BA Stout too.

    I never really attempted to bring my own or do any bottle sharing in the area honestly.

    I'll see if I can find anything out though!

    There used to be a beer club in the Wilkes-Barre area that met once a month to do case splits. Not sure if group is still active or not. I did a few splits and enjoyed it. Got to try some good beers. However there were times where I thought it was out of hand. Like when the theme was your favorite beer and I brought a case of Racer 5 and another guy had a case of Belgian beer for $200. In that event, you had to shell out money to make things even. Wish they would have set price limits on the themes, but other than that it was a good time.

    Im in Duryea. I can ask the guys at Aurants if they would supply their back dining room for an event. I know theyve done a few in the past. It may depend on the night, though. i know Friday and Saturday nights are standing room only in that place, so it would have to be an off night. I was there last night (Tuesday) and the room was open.

    Id be down for a meeting. Ive got plenty of bottles in the cellar that are begging for a share. Keep me posted, ya'll!

    Off of 435..Not far from Jaques (sp?) place that burned down last month.
    I actually just got off the phone with Jon from J&H about an hour or so ago on my way home from work.

    Aurant's has said they'd host us assuming we buy food and tip.

    Oh man, those dogs are beautiful and so well behaved. I live directly across the entrance to Golden Oaks. Brown Pitbull Mix. Double lot. Black VW in Driveway.

    I honestly wouldn't have thought any BA's lived that close. Down for a bottle share/tasting sometime?

    Ah I know exactly where you are. Yeah I am down for shares/trades/tastings, anytime.

    I also needed to clarify that the tasting club I previously mentioned is in no way affiliated w/ J&H beer but you could sign up there.
