Northern FL Visit (Jacksonville)

    Hello all,

    First time posting here. Done a few trades with BEX but wanted to get a little advice from the Beer Advocate network. I am heading down to Jacksonville, FL early December and was wondering what beers people recommend picking up to try/bring back from the south west region that may be available. Appreciate the help.

    I'd recommend visiting Aardwolf and Green Room as priorities. Engine 15, Intuition, Bold City and Veterans are also good. I don't know anything about Zeta.

    Try to find some MIA Mega Mix that is somewhat fresh. It's a pretty juicy pale ale out of miami that makes it's way up here. You can probably find White Oak Jai Alai too, we've seen a bunch around here recently. Last Snow might still be around, try that for sure if you get a chance. Intuition I-10 IPA is the best canned IPA locally available. Aardwolf makes the best local beer for sure. They might have some White Russian bottles still left. If you make it out to the beach, The Green Room is a pretty cool spot with a bunch of solid beers that are always rotating.

    All good to know. I will throw it on my list. Looks like there is a TW in Jacksonville. I assume they should have some of these beers available. Thanks.

    Really Good Beer Stop is 100% my go-to if you're at Jacksonville Beach for great draft/crowler/growler/bottle selections, also Broudy's is a good liquor store with multiple locations. Green Room (at the beach) impressed me way more than Aardwolf, pretty damn good IPAs. Also check out Beer: 30, another solid draft/growler/bottle shop more toward downtown. Cheers!

    Just got back from the Jax visit. Was able to snag some Funky Buddha, Cigar City, and MIA standards along with the FB Nib Smuggler and Short Cake. Aardwolf was very very good. Was a big fan of their White Russian and picked up a bottle of the BA White Russian. Thanks for the tips.
