So I've been watching the twin cities bottle hunt thread and wanted to start something for folks further north (not sure how many of us there are). In particular I'm curious about how much longer it takes things to get up here after they hit in the cities? I'd also like to find out about other BAs in the region. I'm in grand rapids and would like to meet some other folks that prefer beer other than mick golden!

I'm even further up north than you (East Grand Forks) so I can add a little here and there. We recently (last month I think) started getting Bent Paddle distributed up here and today marks the day Indeed is scheduled to hit shelves. We also have a pretty limited selection of TG beers as well. At last check, I could get 1492 IPA, Rover Truck, and Dorothy's. Selection has really, really improved over the past two years, and it seems to be getting better all the time.
Thanks for the info mike. From what u gather GR is similar in the options improving a lot over the past couple years. I haven't seen any indeed or TG here but I'm hopeful that changes soon! Bent paddle is readily available and a solid option. Do you have any gauge on the delay between things dropping in the cities and in your area? For example, I'm curious about nein and BB buffalo sweat, which drooped in the cities this week.
I haven't seen either of them yet but I believe my local place gets its Surly shipments on Fridays so maybe Nein will get on the shelves today. When it comes to the delay, there isn't a big one here. I consistently see week-old Surly on shelves, the Bent Paddle was a couple weeks old when it got here ... we usually get pretty fresh stuff. Hope the same goes for you.
As of yesterday at about 8pm they also had what looked to be a good amount of Wet and 10/02 bottles of pseudoSue.
Got founders in grand rapids this week, which is awesome. Still no sign of nein around but wet has made an appearance. Hoping to get BB buffalo swear and big ricc from tallgrass but nothing so far
I'm determined to keep this thread alive even if it means talking to myself. Darkness hit grand rapids yesterday and today, but probably just a few cases. $24.99 at one store and $18.99 at another. Was also happy to see bells 30th last week for $12.99
Darkness came and went in about an hour yesterday in East Grand Forks. Heard from my "guy" that Abrasive should be on the shelf by the end of next week.
