My two favourite beers of over 50 years ago , Shipstones mild and bitter ,remain among my favourites today. They are now brewed in a tiny brewery but by the last head brewer of Shipstones. That's despite all that's become available in the beer world over the last few years , although I welcome the extra variety I regard it as well as rather than instead of good old fashioned brewing. The bitter is 3.9% so I can drink it all day,it's incredibly dry and intensely bitter but once I get through that the malt comes through and every pint tastes better than the one before.

The mild is incredibly tasty for its 3.4% and is a joy both to look at and to sup

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Celebration, and Bigfoot. Some of my early "good beers" that all stood way out to me. The hoppiness of SNPA tasted so much cleaner than macro AALs, not to mention just having a stronger flavor and better body. My first Celebration reminded me of my first SNPA, just delicious clean hop flavor. Bigfoot showed me beer can be very complex and savory.

Arrogant Bastard is another. (IMO) Perfect every day beer with a very present and drinkable flavor.

Bell's Two Hearted once craft started really taking off around here. So bright and floral.

Agreed on the early Sierra. Does anybody remember Bigfoot at 11.2%, or am I imagining things?

SN Stout, and I just picked some up recently because I started to get the feeling that is has been too long. I hope it's always with us; I used to buy it by the case, but don't see too much of it around lately.

SNPA, Blue Moon, Guinness. I don't exactly come back to them (maybe sometimes with SNPA) but they certainly nostalgic
