Man not going to drive downtown for it. If Total Wine gets it, or a Specs out here does I will try it
One of the dumbest publicity stunts to date. And I'm sure the beer is extremely mediocre as well. reviews lean that way. Give me sam adams NEIPA over this.
^^^Hmm, not sure about that It was just some Brock sarcasm, but I guess that is to much for some people. I like it a lot, and way more than any of the other milky hop soup that is being made around town.
I just bought a single and I’ll be trying it tonight. As far as the marketing goes, it was different but I didn’t watch all the video’s. Only way to get a beer fresher would be to drink after it was canned, which was pretty much yesterday.
zero chance this beer is in the same stratosphere as spindletop or b52. and I've only had a handful of their neipas. I'm one of the most dry, crusty, sarcastic humans around...so I get it. it only works if it's at least somewhat funny. his spiel...agst hazebombs and subsequent disbelief that his own brewery was releasing one was...well...not needed.
Well Brock was being sarcastic just cause you didn't think it was funny doesn't change that. Its not my brand of humor either. Not everyone thinks the NEIPA's from Spindletap and B52 are good. I personally can't stand the under carbonated, annoyingly muddled astringent mess, that Spindletap and others make. Don't get me started on the Milkshake IPA's from B52 and some others. If you don't like Not a Collaboration for whatever reason fine, but I'll take it over any NEIPA in the Houston area (i'm sure I'm in the minority there). Edit: Don't get me wrong, I don't really think this is worth $16 a four pack (though neither is anything else in this format IMO), but I'd gladly have in on tap again if I see it around town, and think it is something enjoyable to drink. Which, again for me, I can't say for most of the other NEIPA's around.
It was much better than Fake News, but that’s not saying much. I don’t think it’s a NEIPA and I’m sure that SA and Brash don’t think it is either, which plays into the name.
Tounces the driving cat bought the entire supply at Disco Kroger, jump forward 10 Year’s and that beer is too damn expensive. My thoughts, it’s a really nice DIPA, I don’t put much thought into appearance, my ratings swing high or low on smell and taste. To me the problem with most of the beers in this category is too much hop burn on the palate. I had a 4 pack of Sips of Sunshine one week old can date and couldn’t drink it, I gave 2 cans to the flood distributor rep, he thought I was being nice. I had no problems drinking Not a Collaboration, my only complaint is the smell doesn’t knock your socks off, it gets better towards the bottom of the glass though.
Had a pint last night and really liked it. However, it doesn't warrant the $16 price tag so I won't be purchasing more.
This beer is definitely not worth the hype or price tag. I was suckered into buying a $16 4-pack, and I regret it. It's a mediocre DIPA at best. I'm frustrated at myself for falling into the marketing hype.
I had it on tap, enjoyed it and would get it again, but I passed on the $16 a 4 pack, it isn't that. Solid DIPA
Bought a 4 pack last week. It was good but still a little green. Had one last night, and it was very enjoyable.
Bought a single due to FOMO. It was perfectly fine but without the hype of some stores limiting purchases to one per person I would have probably passed.
