That was how I felt about my first experience with Victory at Sea. Everyone sings praises for Victory at Sea, but I just couldn't get into it. I'm usually a big stout guy, but I didn't like it at all.

That's not good – I've only had Ten Fidy once and I loved it. Now I'll be afraid to have it again!

well according to me and the other guy, it's going to be even better, then. it's a grower.

One from the Blue Moon variety pack I had when I was first getting into beer (the Farmhouse Red saison/Flanders-style ale... apparently this site has it listed under a different name, though--I'm guessing they changed the name between the time it was added on here and the time I got that variety pack?) was really good when I had the first bottle, and then the second one I had maybe a week later barely even seemed like it was the same beer as the first--it was like all the things I liked about the first bottle were either missing entirely or drastically toned down. I don't know if I got one unusually bad bottle or if I got one unusually good bottle and the less-good version is what's normal for that beer...

The Yuengling Black & Tan I got a 12-pack of when they were on sale also wasn't as good after the first one. Though the first was pretty good, but none of the others was as good as that first one and by the time I was halfway through the pack I was wishing I'd gotten something else instead. I ended up giving away two of them to family members as Christmas presents (which worked out pretty well, it turns out my sister likes them much more than I do.)

Usually, though, it seems like if I like a beer the first time it will be just as good (if not better) the second time.

Fat Tire. That's what got me into craft beer. Now that I've tried so many others its just ok to me sadly :slight_frown:

Ten Fidy. First time was ok, second time, I decided to trade the rest away.
