Notable June Releases-DC/NOVA

Festina Peche is a June release. I don't know if that's notable or not.

 

Schnieders has ~2 cases of Stickee Monkee left

 

Is it possible to just have one DC notable releases thread instead of a new one each month? Not sure if there is a reason against this, but I think it makes sense for continuity and limiting clutter..

 

Has anyone received any more info on the DC Brau Solar Abyss cans release? I know they are having an event later this month, so I assume its a safe bet they will have cans available at the brewery then or after as well. Just curious if anyone had any additional details.

 

Not DC/VA but it appears MD is now getting 4 Hands stuff. Just picked up a bottle of Bona Fide at The Perfect Pour. They had Contact High and Send Help in cans as well.

 

They are now in DC as well. I wonder if it is all of MD, or MD minus MoCo just like the Bells deal.

 

Did they have any Stickee Monkee or anything else interesting at Perfect Pour? I'll be in Laurel tomorrow and am thinking about going up there but its still kind of far out of the way and will probably cause me to hit traffic on the way back to Virginia.

 

No Stickee Monkey. Newer/Interesting stuff I saw was JP Rojzilla, La Roja Du Kriek, and CS Pierre Ferrand Billionaire.

 

Stickee Monkee was available at WF Foggy Bottom as of yesterday PM. Should still be some.

Noticed cans of 4Hands are on shelves in DC as of this week.

Just cracked Bona Fide and it was a big disappointment. Tasted like a muddled mess of adjuncts and stout, with a slight metallic aftertaste. Drain pour.

 

@mancallede, sounds like the bottles are as bad as the draft

 

Where can I find Jolly Pumpkin bottles in Northern Virginia? I don't think Dominion, Arrowine, K-1 - any of those places carry it. Seekabrew says there is some JP here, though. Maybe just draft??? Am I wrong?

 

It's a shame. That beer probably cost them a lot of future sales from me on the rest of their portfolio. Sadly, I can never untaste or unsmell that beer. One of the worst beers I've ever had!

 

There is none. I've heard some places in Charlottesville get a small amount, which might explain the seekabrew. I've found seekabrew to be pretty inaccurate in general for our area too.

 

Disappointing to hear this. Haven't opened one yet but Super Flare and Passion Fruit Prussia have both been outstanding.

 

Bell's isn't going to MoCo! Sigh. Stupid MoCo.

When the new NRG place opens near me, I was hoping they'd have Bell's as an option.

 

If you're willing to head into DC, Whole Foods P Street usually has a few JP beers. I've never seen any in NoVA.
