Just talked to the people at TW Springfield, and they said that, although it's already on shelves in southern VA, they don't expect it here until July. God I hate our local distributors.

    +1.

A few months ago I asked them about this and they said they want to bring it back and can it but were having troubles securing enough Mosaic hops.

My fingers are crossed that they solved that issue and it does come out in cans. That will be a happy day for me.

Bell's Saturn is out now—I picked up a 6 pack at Whole Foods for $13.99. A barrel aged barleywine at that price is an absolute steal!

Total Wine in Springfield had about 8 or so bottles of Supreme Leader left as of yesterday afternoon around 3:00 PM. Meant to actually post this yesterday but didn't get a chance. Only saw it as I was checking out as it isn't listed on the board like usual. It's in that far back corner where they keep the limited stuff. Also a couple bottles of BA Bigfoot left too.

Whoa. Anyone want to IP trade this for something from SD in a few weeks? Heir Apparent was great.

Anyone seen Ballast Point Grunion? I know I'd asked a few weeks back in another thread, but a quick Twitter search shows that bottles seem to have hit a number of other east coast locations recently.

    Hardywood Bourbon Barrel Raspberry Stout
Heavy Seas Blackbeard's Breakfast (a porter aged in bourbon barrels and brewed with Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company’s Dark Sumatra coffee)
Lickinghole Creek Fearnought - imperial brown aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels for 4 Months made with Virginia Thoroughbred Barley grown at LCCB
And the Lost Rhino sour Genuis Loci series is getting rave reviews. Lost Rhino should just stop making everything else they make and just make sours. Forget the mediocre IPAs. Lost Rhino sours may be legit.
Allagash Odyssey - dark wheat beer aged for ten months, a portion in oak barrels and the remainder in stainless tanks
not to mention evil twin mission gose brewed at westbrook and all the avery barrel sours

Isn't that on shelves at just about every bottle shop in town?

About half a case of Dreadnought left at TW Springfield as of this morning. Maybe a case and a half of Saturn too.

I'm assuming you mean Fearnought, I doubt Total Wine got a random shipment of Three Floyds.

They were hesitant to sell me any Saturn when I was there yesterday. The lady asked another person working if they had heard if the beer was ok or not. They said I could buy it but something might be wrong with it. Anyone hear about problems with it?

It had something to do with a higher-than-normal amount of sediment in the bottles. They said they held off selling it when it first arrived due to concerns over quality.

I had a bottle I bought in DC that was fine (outstanding, in fact), but I haven't opened any of my Virginia bottles yet.

I've opened 3 saturns total and can say that I've had no issues w the Virginia bottles, they all seemed fine to me!
