How many of those new arrivals are truly "notable"?

I agree, the Regular Abyss at 16.99 per is kind of ho-hum these days compared to other barrel-aged stouts. Think I may have bought my last bottle this year.

I would also recommend Churchkey in DC. Probably the best beer bar in DC. Check out their Facebook page for upcoming events if you'll be around for them. With the exception of Hawiaan Speedway Stout, they generally get the special releases of beers you won't generally find in the area.

 

William Jeffreys on Columbia pike says they are getting Hawaiian Speedway too.

 

Found some Sump @ Wegmans in Fairfax , it was at a register end cap toward the beer section, at the bottom. $16.99 for 750ml. I bought one, I think 5 or 6 left , didn't count the remainder.

I also saw they still had about 4 cases of Hardywood Bourbon Barrel Sidamo @ $12.99.

 

What do you think about that place? I go there with friends sometimes because its close by and I like the atmosphere (and they have amazing nachos), and at first I thought they had a decent tap list, but it seems like it never changes except for 1 or 2 taps, and I really question the freshness of the beer they serve. It seems like no matter what I order, nothing ever tastes right. I had a terrible Jai Alai there last weekend, but to be fair, the last Jai Alai I had before that was out of a 2 week old can and I thought that was terrible too.

 

The 1/15 batch of Jai Alai was not very good imo

 

Looks like Aslin will have A Small Town in Ontario this weekend, gonna head over and get a growler or two.

 

Do you know if they still have Mind the Hop available? It's still listed on their site, but not sure it's up to date.
