#pickitupformebro for the brandy? Can give you TY beers
Have there been any sightings of Hopslam in DC proper grocery stores, i.e. Trader Joe's or Harris Teeter?
They are joking. Softly Spoken, Harry Doesn't Mind IIPA, and Jim Is Working Hard Session IPA on the shelf. Also got our allocation of Hopslam and 1 case of Drie Fonteinen Oude Geuze.
Yes Organic Eastern Market
did cleveland park store get the same?
Cleveland Park will be getting Hopslam on Saturday.
Tons of Hopslam at Trader Joes (Foggy Bottom). 18.99 - cheapest I've heard.
I'm off today, but my manager informs me that TJ's 14th has been 'slammed. $18.99, and no limits (just don't be a jerk about it... )
sorry, should have replied to other post. More interested in 3F and singlecut cans!
Haven't seen any love for Diamondback Brewing Green Machine w/ Vic Secret here. Very solid IPA. Downtown Crown still has 4 packs @ $11.99.
LOVE IT. I bought two 4 packs yesterday at Gilly's in Rockville with 10% off on my way home from work. They probably had 1.5-2 cases of it. Awesome brew. I hope Diamonback keeps canning. I wish I could find someone with Hop Brothel on tap.
Plenty of Hopslam at Old Town Alexandria HT on Madison...$21.99.
I thought you hated that beer
Just purchased this and Oliver Crown of Lies yesterday, can't wait to try both!
hahaha it was a quick trip through so im glad to see its not too harmed. Wasn't going to comment on the quality, but glad to see there might be some new stuff on the shelf. Waiting for KCM .
3F and one bottle of Cantillion left at Conn Ave
This got snagged before you even posted. Only 3F left, great consolation prize imo.
3f>tilquin>canti in terms of gueuze IMO, so quite the consolation prize.
more 3f and Cantillon will be popping up shortly in the area...
Haha I figured as much. Got them in this afternoon not surprised they were gone in a flash.
Nope. Those follow me to whatever store I'm at which happens to be Capitol Hill right now. Maybe next time at CP
Hah, keep waiting.
Hahah harrys just got a few cases in, so someones giving it out still . Additionally, u street wine and beer has 2014 bcbbw for 22 in the fridge up front. I just grabbed a 2016 and 2014 bcbcs there as well, he wasn't sure if they were the last ones or not.
I saw KCM at Modern Liquors right by convention center. They wanted like $20 per. There was also some BCBS for 18. I almost bit on a FW Anniv but they wanted $30.
20 on the KCM isn't terrible. Did they have a lot?
Ronnie's in Harford County has Hop Brothel on tap for Growler fills at @ $9.99 32oz or $19.99 64oz. Since it is Thursday it is 20% off
I remember at least 6 on the shelf on Tuesday night
For those still looking, FB TJ's still has a ton.
For those who missed the 3F & Cantillon store releases this week, I've been told that their importer has "taken notice" of the DC beer scene, and we can probably expect more like that in the future...
My hope is that Shelton sends enough so that bottle shops get some, rather than everything going to NRG and Pizza P.
This is precisely what's happening
I even have some coming at Meridian Pint and I've bought next to 0 Shelton Bros
$6.99 Singlecut tallboys and 3F OD on the shelves at Yes! Cap Hill. My weekend is gonna be great.
Damn the Yes! By me is slacking hahahaha. Well it's nice to see all the OG dropping around. It would be nice if more shops in DC used social media.
Shelton was without a distributor in DC for several years there after they dropped DOPS in, I believe, late 2012 or early 2013. Pekko started carrying Shelton stuff in late 2015 or early 2016, and have been gradually ramping up their portfolio and reach since. From my understanding NRG and PP were getting stuff directly from Shelton through personal connections. It's great that we're finally seeing the full Shelton lineup showing up in stores in DC again!
As well as the freshest I've seen in a few years, canned 1/17/17!
It is by far. Got a six at Harris Teeter west of Leesburg with same dates. Historically we would get a first week in Jan canning date and see the cans mid to late Feb.... Had a can last night and I liked it. More what I remembered from a few years ago. It is NOT a NE style juice bomb. But it is a balanced although a little sweet DIPA. Well done and much better fresh I may add.
Opened a can of SSMS last night and it was flat as shit. Anybody else experience this with the latest batch (1/13)?
