Seems like there must be a lot of can variation. The two I had yesterday were spectacular.

Anyone been by Aslin in the last week? If I'm not mistaken they were supposed to start crowler-ing last week? Curious as to whether it's up and running.

I'll be back in DC this weekend for the first time since I moved away a couple of years ago. I haven't really kept up with the beer scene there--what's especially good and widely available? Open to any styles. I won't have time to chase after anything, so I'm talking about beers that I should be able to find right now at a halfway decent bottle shop. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone seen six packs of Foothills Jade ipa in DC Proper, i.e. at WF P Street, CT Avenue, D'vines, or Cairo?

If it's only been a couple years then there isn't too much that you probably haven't had before, as far as packaged beer. Maybe Union Double Duckpin? Foothills Jade and Sexual Chocolate just hit NoVA this week, might see that around.

Considering that the Brewtus won the "darks" quadrant of the March Madness tasting tournament I participated in last night, I can say that close to 15 beer lovers agree with that recommendation, and came to that agreement through a blind taste test at that.

MBC Lunch pouring at rhodeside grill and William Jeffreys, and when William Jeffreys says they are currently pouring Lunch, they mean 'in a week when we kick the hardywood'.

I recommend no one to genuinely go out of their way to have Lunch. It's desperately mediocre and underwhelming relative to the new IPA scene that's unraveled locally and nationally.

Backwoods Bastard on tap at Fair Lakes Whole Foods. Mellowed out a little with age and very tasty!
