Since several are done locally at Beltway Brewing, I can hope some of the IPAs are not too far behind. I have had a few of their beers on NYC trips. Loved'em all.

Yea, I wouldn't get your hopes up on the IPA's. Maybe some kegs at the typical NRG establishments, but there is no chance we will get getting cans for the foreseeable future.

It's at stillwater's brew pub in canton and will be a Max's in fells point for American craft beer week.

Sadly that probably won't happen. Grimm has a deal with Shelton Brothers for their sour/bottled stuff. So it basically gets distributed anywhere within Shelton's footprint at Shelton's whim (which includes DC as well as many other states). The IPAs are NYC and draft only.

I think the total price was ~$32 after taxes, so 29.99?

Damn, that's pricey. My buddy just picked one of them up at Giant in DC for $20 that we are splitting, which seems about what it should be when buying in bulk. That Giant in Falls Church definitely F'ed up on the price, which is a huge win for anyone that was able to snag one.

FYI - the Giant in DC that has them for $20 is the one on Wisconsin Ave.

Generally not a fan of 3 stars but they're doing a can release of a DIPA called #ultrafresh. If anyone goes let me know how it is, if it's worth the trip or not.

Anyone aware of a bottle shop called Sherry's Wine & Liquor in DC? Their Beermenus line up is amazing, actually too amazing. There are KBS and BCBS on the list so I want to just make sure it's out of dates.

I've been to Sherry's. Good spot with a good selection and usually solid beers for growler fills as well. A little pricey, but where in DC isn't?

Sherry's tends to overprice, sometimes massively, so some things hang around.
Not sure if they still have KBS, but I recall them charging $15 each, which is a little strong.
They probably do have BCBS @ 14.99. Until very recently they had Sump and SMS, but I think those are gone now.

Any beer with a p̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶i̶g̶n̶ hashtag in the name of their beer automatically loses my interest.

Damn I was close! BCBS, SMS, all out. :slight_frown: It's hard to find out what they sell.

I thought they still had BCBS, but not sure. SMS I bought the last 4 pack last weekend, so I am sure that's gone.
    KBS no idea.

I envy you so much  Do you know anywhere else that still holds BCBS or any other limited bottles?

You mentioned not caring about price earlier. If you want limitied stuff go to 1 West Dupont. Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg though.

Just stopped by and didn't see it at the one on Wisconsin south of Tenleytown. I thought the Wisconsin Ave one in Friendship Heights didn't sell beer (as it's over the MoCo border). Anyway, which Giant were you talking about?

It's pretty decent! If you've had the new version of Two to the Dome, it's similar to that. Much brighter and hop-forward than their hoppy stuff used to be. It's kind of hazy, but not as juicy as that might suggest. Sort of splits the distance between a west coast and NE IPA. Starts sweet with a bitter finish. 3.5/5, good if you're local, probably not worth traveling for.

Any Lagunitas High Westified turding up shelves out there? My idiot friend @IrishColonial somehow has never had this.
