HT Navy Yard has a ton of BW and regular sitting on a pallet. Got to Schneiders at 9:50, door opened at 9:55, got everything I needed, out of there at 10:15am. Guessing varients are gone by now.

 

I just got back from TW McLean, I picked up the regular and barley wine BCBS. There were 6 bottles left of each at the customer service.

 

Um, because every single bottle I've opened so far was perfect and delicious, and because it saves me the effort of having to wait in line all morning and drive all over town after work today for regular.

 

$15 for 17 ounces of a beer that used to be $23 for 48. Fuck. That. I do sincerely hope you all enjoyed your hunting this morning and enjoy that delicious beer with your friends and family this evening.

Bourbon County reporting in from Frederick, MD: Stopped to get my annual 1 bottle request reserved this morning. 36 bottles provided to the store. Doing a 2 BCBS limit per person and you had to be on the waiting list to even get one of the 36. No variants I was told in Frederick County MD. If anyone finds any stores that got some variants from the distributor please share (info. that is...of course sharing beer is always welcome).

Total price after tax was $14.07.

 

Can anyone report on how much of a cluster the Black Friday event is at Churchkey? Did the variants make it into the evening or did they get crushed early on?

 

This is why I now buy only a token bottle or two.

The way i look at it is that it's now one serving for $12 where it used to be four servings for $24. So double the cost.

We agree here. I love the beer but my moral code prevents me from buying it in this format ever again. If I see it on tap, absolutely. Other than that I'll be depleting my supply from previous years.
