Thought it was somewhat reminiscent of 2015 BCBS when it wasn't totally undrinkable yet but you could tell it was on its way.

Probably not the right place for this, but did anyone else in the area get selected (or know someone around here that did) in the toppling Goliath lottery? Trying to figure out logistics and it'd be helpful if someone else around here is making the journey. Thanks.

Are they having a special event or do they notmally have beers like that on tap? I would check Facebook but I don't have it on my phone.

Mods can you lock me out of this thread until the new year? Dropped $250 on beer this week and my marriage is in trouble. Thanks!

Special event with tickets for each beer, not bad value and not crowded really, ends at 4 supposedly.

I'll 2nd this motion. The past two months have been particularly bad. BCBS, Abraxas, BA Tenfidy, Big Bad Baptist Variants, Evil Twin/ Westbrook mexi cake collab and now the Lagunitas High Westified. What the fuck.

One of my regular spots in MoCo offered to sell me a bottle of bcbs after I inquired about it. They said come back tomorrow and I'll have one for you.
Hearing that, I was deeply thankful and excited.
I come back and it's a 2015 vintage. I was somewhat disappointed but still thankful that they went out of there way to do me this favor. The spot isn't really knowledgeable about this scene, but I still bought the bottle due to the price being very reasonable.
Question is, is Goose Island still giving refunds for 2015 vintage? Waiting to get a 2016 for a side by side before I try the '15.

If you refer back to the refund thread, Goose Island had mentioned specific dates when most of the infections occurred. Even then, there was a few that said their BCBS was fine despite having a bad date. Unfortunately the cut off date for refunds had already passed.

Edit: For BCBS, refunds were available for: Oct. 9, Oct. 12, Oct. 21, Oct. 22, Oct. 23, Oct. 26, Oct. 30, Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.

Maybe it's one of the infected dates, maybe not, but I've had half a dozen bottles so far from different sources and not one has been infected, so if you want it, I'd go for it.

I think the cut off to apply for your refund was September.

Burley Oak has 4 beers dropping this weekend!
    12/17/16
Open at 11am, release at the side door.
30 cases of each can (Found DIPA, Savage IPA, Tart Attack Sour Red Ale) - 1 case limit per person. *$13.75(plus tax)/4-Pack*
150 bottles of Ruder Boy - 3 bottle limit per person. *$22.95(plus tax)/bottle*

    BURLEY OAK SAVAGE IPA
    7.3% ABV 58 IBU

The combination of barley, wheat and oats, copious amounts of citra, mosaic, falconers flight hops and a house yeast gives this beer juicy notes of guava and papaya on the palate and aromas of orange rind and grapefruit

BURLEY OAK FOUND INDIA PALE ALE
    8.2% ABV 77 IBU

FOUND is the bigger brother of our beloved Lost IPA. A bigger grain bill and lots of oats balances out the 4lbs of Simcoe,Amarillo, and Mosaic hops per barrel.

BURLEY OAK TART ATTACK SOUR RED ALE
    6.8% ABV 18 IBU

An interaction between lactobacillus microbes and dark malts have created a very
unique sensory experience. This is an experimental beer that produces cherry notes complemented by tartness like no other.

    BURLEY OAK RUDER BOY BARLEYWINE
    13% ABV 55 IBU

This beer was originally made to commemorate our 100th batch of beer with a double batch version of our house favorite, Rude Boy. Aged in bourbon barrels for 14 months and then conditioned to prepare for bottling, this big barleywine was designed to keep getting better with time.

What's everyone's take on this? It's a great value but the two bottles I cracked tasted like Barrel Aged Raisins, not a big fan

GBS still floating around DC at all? I miscounted the # of bottles I had to give out as gifts and I'm looking for one more to give to a friend for the Holidays. I work in College Park so hopefully something not too far from there still has it, maybe P St or the TJ's on 14th St?
