I haven't opened up my Mo' Shuggie bottle yet, but the Jenny Said can I had tonight blew me away. Easily the best SingleCut beer I've tried. As hoppytobehere said in his review, the can was gone in friggin' seconds.

To say it nicely, my comments earlier in this thread reflected some disappointment with SingleCut, and I stand by my thoughts on those brews, but I decided to give them a second chance based on their customer service response to my Untappd check-ins. I've got to say, I'm very happy I went that route. The most recent drop of Workers Are Going Home was very tasty, and Jenny Said was superb. Safe to say they've reshaped my impression of their brewery.

I'm sorry to interrupt the beer reviews to post on topic.

Mo Shuggie @ Magruders as of 12:30pm for $9
    Jenny Said $9
    Garçon de Ferme $14

I also saw high westified 4 packs (wasn't interested so don't know prices) and 3 fonteinen oude geueueueuezeeze

Lots of Maine stuff but the one I was interested in (Mo) had a December date.

Will post my reviews here of how well they're drinking when I get to try them. Cheers

Thanks! I picked up both of the Singlecuts! They also had 3 Fonteinen!

I also stopped at Chevy Chase, and they also had them, but I purchased something else.

I also did stop at Rodman's, they did not have them, but I did pick up something nice.

Good to have those three fine establishments so close to each other!

I wouldn't buy the three breasted beauty from Total Recall if she was for sale at Rodman's. Rodman's get some good shit but it just isn't for me. Joel at Magruders has always been great to me and it's as convenient as any D.C. spot for for me being from Potomac. I can't emphasize enough how much I love CBC but getting there and parking is too much of a hassle. If I have to pay a few extra bucks to try something new at Magruders I will.

    Good points!

I had never been to Magruders and it is practically right next to Chevy Chase (and very close to Rodmans).

For me, living in Arlington, I thought CBC was a little more convenient, but I hit those three spots on mid-Saturday (taking Chain Bridge) a lot faster than CBC, so they will be my go to spots more frequently (especially the first two) since they are somewhat more convenient than driving into mid-DC.

    Thanks again!

You're welcome. THATS WHAT THIS THREAD IS FOR. And beer reviews of course. Oh, and telling the followers how much of a new dank IPA you just scored without sharing where, when, and for how much.

Wowzers... that's quite an upcharge. What was Regal going for?

    I forget...but similarly "opportunity priced."
I think the latest vintage of Velvet Merkin was about $30 new at WF-P., so for older vintage or 1-time release items that you can just pick off the shelf, it's not outrageous.

I vaugely remember there being a price mix-up at WF P st on the last Velvet Merkin, I think the price got doubled for some reason. It shouldn't be anywhere near $30, that beer is like $14-18 tops.

Yeah, before the bottles were moved to 12 oz, MSRP was $15.99, I believe. Usually sold around $17.00.

Well shit...think they'd refund me the difference on a 2 month old purchase without a receipt? :/ I never saw the FW vintage barrel bottles in the wild, so I just assumed that's the going rate.
