I think we may be talking about different beers. My post was in reference to Bluejacket's Double Mexican Radio, which I assumed Nimbleprop was talking about in his post asking if it sold out.

Talking to a buddy of mine at Brau, they just brewed a batch of wings on October 16th...so it should be hitting cans for release any day now...

It's probably just me, but I haven't liked Corruption much the last few times I've bought it. It's darker, and maltier than what I'm used to. Age is not an issue, I can usually find it super fresh.

I really, really wish DC Brau could consistently brew better beers.

They could use a new flagship IPA. I like Public and Corruption when they're fresh, but they have really similar profiles and are both way behind the curve of modern hoppy stuff. Brau Pils is the only beer of theirs I buy regularly these days.

Considering how expensive hops are, I get why their flagship hoppy beers are heavy on Colombus, but they could make Corruption so much better just by dialing back the caramel malts.

You are correct. Sorry for the confusion! I was referring to Trickery at Hardywood.

BBT has really fallen off from the first batch IMO. There was a large amount of inconsistency with batch 2.

Dogfish Head Higher Math is starting to appear in NoVA, although the early reviews don't sound as promising as I had hoped.

I was at Bluejacket this evening and picked up a couple of bottles at $18 per. The host said that they still have a couple hundred left.

I was in line on release day and a guy was telling me Greg was down in one of the carolinas at a festival and he had the double barrel station right next to Abraxas and ppl were walking away liking the double mexican radio more......just a little "hear say" if you are on the fence about grabbing one!

Did they amp up the chilies and cinnamon a bit on the double barrel version? The regular version is too tame for my liking. If the regular version was used as the base I can't see it touching Abraxas. Really hope it does come close to Abaraxas though. Looking forward to trying to my 2 bottles.
