Abraxas on tap at WF Clarendon
plenty of bgbs at trader Joe's in Alexandria
Love Child #6 at K-1. I grabbed one. I needed to have something other than big stouts.
Love Child #6 was also at TW McLean today.
It's at Dominion as well. I think it was $21.99. They also had Java Cask, but I grabbed the last bottle on the shelf. No clue if they had more.
Any Avery Double Vanilla Bean Stout thing in the District?
Update on Kentucky X-mas Morning TJ clarendon gave out 6 bottles (gone) and Whole Foods didn't order any because it was an off menu item i think? He said it wasn't available to place an order for, WF beer game is slippin' now that they lost their experts
Wow I called the other day and the guy there said they weren't getting it
He told me the same thing, he was a little short with me as well. (understandable i would be annoyed after a while, but i would make sure of what i was talking about....)
He was adamant that it came the prior week and sold out so I didn't take him at his word that they weren't getting any. I am all for employees getting some of the beer as well but holding 6... i dunno... how far does it go?
A few bottles of Christmas Morning on the shelf at Red Apron in Merrifield.
I picked up 12 Christmas Morning's and 4 AB GBS at the Hardywood event though I got shut out from KCM. If anyone wants to trade let me know.
Perfect Pour had BA Imperial Biscotti Break, Double Bastard in the Rye, and Dino S'mores today. They only had 1 bottle, out on the shelf, of the first two but had a handful of Dino S'mores up by the register.
Peppermint Victory @ Sea bombers started rolling out this week if anyone may be be looking.
All of the 50/50 Eclipse variants are there as well.
@Shawan: Peppermint Victory at Sea, Java Cask, Manor Hill cans
I'll be visiting Maryland/NoVa for Christmas. Is Double Duckpin available anywhere, specifically Montgomery County?
i know its at the Woodmoor Market in Silver Spring but I suspect it may be an older batch, as their stock doesnt move that fast
Check Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Bet they have, but I would call and ask first.
They had plenty of it yesterday.
Victory Java Cask at Calvert Woodley.
Victory at Sea Peppermint at WF P St.
^^ All kinds of new stuff actually.
Tiarna, Avery Vanilla Bean, Java Cask, BBA Biscotti, etc.
Anyone know if BA biscotti will hit VA?
Seen BA Biscotti, Dino S'mores, Eclipse 50/50, Schlafly 11th hr, Java cask, Westbrook 'Nose something' and tiramisu-hoo
At WF P Street? Or Calvert Woodley?
Most were at whiteys and staples corner
Thanks. Probably should have quoted Grover. Couldnt keep track of the last few posts.
Would love to find Java Cask, maybe BA Biscotti.
Bourbon Biscotti, Avery Vanilla Bean Stout still on shelf at WF P street. I didn't see Java cask but it was at Calvert Woodley Thursday. No idea if it is still there.
@Devman171 Thanks for the heads up. Picked up the Java Cask, 50/50, and BA Biscotti. The prices were $32.99, $17.99, and $26.99, respectively. Three left for each of the Java Cask and BA Biscotti. 4 or 5 variations for the 50/50.
Java Cask was at P Street in the refrigerated case earlier today (11ish). Up top in the middle. BA Biscotti and Vanilla Bean were right near each other.
All (50/50, Java Cask, BA Biscotti, Vanilla, etc.) are also at Calvert Woodly.
Learned from this thread that GBS variants saw distro and I will be in NOVA on Friday. Are these all long gone? Would love to try them if possible? I will be in Burke in particular if anyone knows somewhere that has any I would greatly appreciate it.
I thought Java Cask and Vanilla Bean were both duds. Save your $35.
Haven't opened the vanilla bean, but I did just rush through a bottle of Java cask. Nothing mind blowing but I thought it was a good BS coffee stout. Glad I grabbed it and $18 for a 22 wasn't bad.
I also enjoyed the Java cask just now on draft at churchkey- tastes are individual, but I really liked the bourbon tootsie roll plus coffee taste. They still have bottles on the shelf where you saw them at whole foods.
Calvert Woodley has a few Christmas morning too
Both Ocelot See the Light and Planets Align are worth seeking out. At MPint and S&B, respectively.
Totally agree on both. Gotta say that See the Light was one of the best IIPA's I've ever had.
If you are in burke Whole foods in Springfield is not far. My guess is the BB GBS is gone but things will somethimes last there a little bit longer. Look on the counter in the back near the grolwer fill area. That is where they usually keep the limited seasonals.
