Also, why would the TJs that usually gets the least amount of limited distro Hardywood get 7 cases when no one else did?

I was at the TJ's in Old Town, and they had a couple of cases of Christmas morning as of 10am.

That's what a store employee told me. Apologies if it was bad info.

I'll ask again in case anyone has new info - any sightings of BBGBS or Xmas morning in the District? Have yet to see either of them at TJs, WF, or my local shop.

RFD has '15 BCBS Coffee, Regal, Regular; '14 Regular; and '15 Abraxas on tap right now. Pretty magical.

A little pricey, but what's a few bucks at the end of the day? Beats trading good beer and paying shipping costs or waiting in line.

I wonder if they retained some for distro or if they are going to distro AB GBS if they don't sell out.

Hardywood Release: The Kentucky CM went first. The AB I think went second. Happy to trade one of my AB if someone is interested.

I think I'm finally done with Bluejacket. Keep giving them a chance, and they still don't seem to have it together. Had these last night:

-Still Life. Sauternes barrel-aged Belgian strong ale with brewhouse-preserved Glenglo peaches. It was completely flat. Tasted like Night Train with some canned peach juice in it. My wife gagged just from smelling it. $9 a glass.
-Whiskey-barrel aged Mexican Radio. 9.5% version. Again, flat as Lara Flynn Boyle. No balance at all. Just overloaded with spices. Hardly any barrel.
-Lost Weekend. Usually my go-to here. But it's a completely different beer every batch. No consistency. Even this beer was flat.
-Forbidden Planet. The only consistent beer I've had to date here.

    end of rant

Stopped by the Right Proper taproom in Brookland yesterday; nice space. The foeder fermented versions of Ornette and White Bicycles are really good and a step up from the ones from the brewpub. Diamonds... was less sour than the brewpub version and really lets the hops and other aromatics shine through. Still plenty tart, but more complex overall.

Raised by Wolves was a completely different beer, about 3 shades darker than the last time I had it at the brewpub, although I do remember some of the earlier brewpub batches being more amber colored. Wasn't bad, but not nearly as juicy as I remembered.

I went to Right Proper in Brookland yesterday too. I only had 2 beers though, I didn't love the White Bicycles but Diamonds was better than the last batch I had at the brewpub. Like Scott said, a little less acid really lets the other components of the beer come through.

P St WF looked to still have BCBS regular on tap this afternoon. They also have Rebel Raw (on the shelves/cans) if anyone is looking for it.
