Maybe just have this a VA thread since MD and DC would be under Mid-Atlantic. The thread under there does good for people in that area. VAs folks just need to remember to check that forum. And my contribution.....Fruitbasket should finally start dropping in Richmond today. NOVA probably not until later in the week.
The "joke" is that staff here cite census classification as their justification for splitting the DC/northern VA region into mid-atlantic and south-atlantic, but if you actually look at the census classification, MD, DC, and VA are all classified as south-atlantic.
I understand that but know the BA admins like to stick to their classification so this may get moved/deleted/etc by a mod. I was also confused when I started using BA more a while back. I would post things in the Mid-Atlantic forum relating to Virginia and it would either get deleted or moved to the South Atlantic. I am located in Central Virginis and growing up things I would do would relate us to either Mid-Atlantic or South. South Atlantic covers a broad area and I don't really care that much about the news of what's going on in FL, SC or GA all that often unless I happen to be heading down there way to visit family. I spend most time on here in both South Atlantic (just for VA related stuff) and Mid-Atlantic because a lot of thread about events, releases, etc are just more relevant to me. NOVA & DC are only a couple hours away so much easily to track what's coming my way since a lot of the breweries that distro there also serve the MA states. Not much in the way of SOuth Atlantic breweries makes its way up to me in VA.
haha, it is confusing, I do check the Mid Atlantic DC/VA/MD release thread quite a bit as I've noticed Hampton Roads (SE VA) gets releases on a similar time frame, typically a few days (or week) later. I.e. I saw posts on a Monday/Tuesday that NOVA got Abraxas, then it came to VA beach on Friday. *plus that thread is dilligently updated with good info, nothing like that exists here.
WF Fair Lakes supposedly had Fruitbasket this morning. H&W should have started their drops of this today.
This is probably a dumb question, but any RVA'ers know of a spot that could have a lingering bottle of regular xmas morning? I'm coming up tomorrow from VB and looking for one for someone else (I drank mine). I figure they are all long gone by now, but never hurts to ask.
If you like ipas and they have Union double duckpin I suggest grabbing a six. Check the can date a fresh batch should of hit some places this week.
Grabbed the last Double Duckpin at WF, also grabbed some Troegs, Firestone and Maine, things I can't get in FL.
