Maybe. I didn't see it being on right now based on checking their website earlier, but I just checked their Twitter account, which confirms that it returned a few days ago.

So I'd like a Polotmovy followed up by a Cerne Pivo, please.

Followed by another Polotmovy and another Cerne Pivo...it's session beer, gotta keep the good times rolling.

Off topic, did anyone notice recent batches of Notch Pils being completely clear? I think I had an early December canning and it was crystal clear with a slightly different flavor profile.

New (additional) centrifuge being dialed in. The recipe / process is exactly the same, but the lack of haze (yeast / protein) may contribute to your flavor comment. The goal is to have a slight haze on that beer.

And yes, we have Černe Pivo in the tap room. It's the first time we brewed it in Salem, so the first time it has been double decocted. Four Czech lagers on right now - Cerne, Polotmavy, Standard (12P pale lager) and Tenner (10P pale lager) as well as 3 German lagers. Cheers!

Is Pils ever brewed in Salem, or is it only contracted out? Would be interested to try the smaller batch version if it exists.

On tap right now is Tenner, same recipe as Session Pils in cans, but it is triple decocted at our Salem brewery so we give it a different name.

My girlfriend and I spent Sunday afternoon at Notch and had a blast as always. Atmosphere was laid back for the few hours we were there. Played cards to pass the time and had Tenner, English Dream, FuBbad and Psychocandy. All great, but that Psychocandy is dangerously delicious, 3.3%! Easily one of my favorite spots to have some beers.

Was looking for something lower in ABV as my fridge was full of DIPAs this weekend. Popped into this thread, has a peruse, grabbed some Zwickel.

Lovely beer. Hit the spot nicely. Could definitely hang out in my fridge regularly. Cheers folks

Been over a year since I asked - any plans to expand distribution to CT?

Nothing planned at this point. MA, ME and southern NH only right now.

Are you happy with the product coming out of Von Trapp? I also noticed the more-clear Pils recently, but thought it tasted just as good if not better.

Pils should still be Two Roads if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure if you read Chris' post a few posts up on this page. But he explains why it was clear, I quoted it above.

No worries, thought you'd find it interesting too.

Personally I didn't like it as much as regular Notch Pils. But it seems like they're still dialing the centrifuge in. It was missing that "rustic" flavor with a little bit extra added in, I assume from the yeast/proteins.

Wasn't bad as all, just not what I was used to. I'd love to try Tenner...sounds awesome, gotta make it back to the brewery sooner rather than later.

Tenner is great and what I look for in beers these days. The triple decoction and hop bitterness work so well together. I could drink liter upon liter of it.

At Notch with my cousin tonight and the beer was great.

Can anyone recommend any good places to eat with good tap lists?
