Medford just had a hearing about approving zoning for a brewery. I choose to believe that this was regarding Notch until I hear otherwise.

 

Medford would be great for me.

 

I like that you’re continuing my phallic theme with beer. I propose we continue this.

One rule, it’s only allowed for German and Czech styles.

I’ll also allow it for English cask ales.

None of this Tree House shit (nothing against them, I like their beers).

Beer and propane go together well.

If the new Notch location is in Medford the mess I make will dwarf @mrmattosgood ‘s.

 

Really liking Punto Pils. Yet another Notch lager I could drink gallons of.

 

Oktoberfest was very fun, despite the ceremonial gravity keg exploding on tapping. The festbier was delicious and kids were happy listening to the band and eating Karl's knockwurst (shh, they were told they were hot dogs), fresh soft pretzels, black forest cake and apple strudel. I would definitely go again.

Did you have the Festbier from the gravity keg?

 

I don't want to kill the mood in here, but I'm guessing the Medford hearing was about Medford Brewing. Although, I had heard a while back that Medford was redoing their zoning to allow for breweries in general, so maybe/hopefully there is more than one in the works?

 

i feel like opening a boston location so far north would be sort of counterintuitive

Well, the mayor of Salem kept working and working the tap, but as she feverishly pounded harder and harder, no beer flowed. Then as @ChrisLohring bent over to try and handle the problem, suddenly jets of creamy foam filled the air, arcing towards his chest and drenching him to the skin. Sticky and smelling of festbier, Chris still managed a smile and invited the party to come fill their cups at the slowly draining keg.

And I like to imagine somewhere @AlcahueteJ smiled and finished...his pint.

medford might as well be nashua to a city elite such as myself.

 

If they do open up a place in JP, they will have managed to be in two places that are deeply irritating to travel to from anywhere else. Quite a feat.

 

Meh, it's right next to the Encore Boston, that's elite enough right?

Wait, is JP one of the potential places? That would suck.

 

notch is good enough that i'll make trips wherever it is in the city. stumbling distance is preferable tho.

 

I thought someone had mentioned it above but it turns out it was actually Alston/Brighton.

Let's hope my misremembering is not an omen.

 

I asked one of the guys running a notch biergarten truck at JP last week and he was pretty clear when I asked: new brewery is going to be in Brighton.
