Notch Brewing (2020)

Then I have a much lesser palate! Haven't done blind tasting of Tenner, Desitka and Standard, but the difference between Tenner and Desitka was subtle, to me, and I likely could not tell them apart, blind.

On another note, had a Tree House Outlier and a Notch Kolsch side by side and to me, the Notch was much more complex. Tree House was solid but...

Same! A top five beer from them and quite possibly my favorite blonde ale of all time.

 

I have my order in for this Saturday, can’t wait. I have a bunch of four packs of Desitka and quarts of Tenner. I also will be picking up some Voll NEIPA, I’ve never had this before. Honestly I’m not really digging many IPAs lately, hopefully this one changes that for me.

Also, my order says to pick up Saturday, I’m assuming anytime Saturday?

Are ALL of the draft beers available for crowlers brewed at Notch?

For instance, Raw Power 12pks are brewed at Two Roads, is the draft brewed there at Two Roads as well?

 

I think he was asking where the draft beer is brewed. Whether it was possibly brewed at Two Roads like some of their cans are.

 

This, I just want to know where the beer is brewed.

 

They brew at the Notch facility in Salem. I believe the 12-packs (Raw Power, Pils, etc) are brewed elsewhere. Other than that, they brew in Salem, which, I believe, extends to everything on draft.

 

Opens at Noon on Saturday.
Orders are all set up on the picnic tables on the back patio by name.

Place order at anytime, pick-up during these hours:
Wednesday - Friday: 2PM - 6PM
Saturday & Sunday: 12PM - 4PM

 

Is the Two Roads facility huge? It seems like they do a LOT of contract brewing.

 

Never been but was digging and saw that they had 176,000 barrels of capacity in 2014. Since then, they've added a second smaller brewing facility. So yes, it is huge.

 

Currently all the beers in Salem are brewed here - 16 & 32oz. During October we need to bring in beer from our contract partners, but for the most part we only sell what we brew here. We often brew beer in Salem that we also brew elsewhere.

Twelve packs (and draft of that same style) are brewed at Two Roads (Session Pils and Left of the Dial) and Harpoon (Raw Power). We were brewing some Zwickel at Von Trapp but have brought that in house at Salem.

 

Ow, wow! Thank you for the transparency. That was really cool. The beers out of 2R are great, but I just wanted to make sure whatever I was grabbing at the brewery came from the source.

 

Placed an order on Thursday for pickup today. Is it typical that you get the "your order is ready" notice around open? Not a big deal just trying to plan around the family activities and I dont live close.

This will be my first time at Notch, too bad its during this situation. I've been wanting to get up there for traditional Czech pours...the cans today will have to do. I've been hunting the Standard for too long now.

 

Your order should be available the minute they open. You can show up anytime during open hours to pickup.
