as AlcahueteJ mentioned, I'm thinking it helps to be essentially a draft pour, but it really is fucking great!

Perhaps. But even as a draft I liked it slightly less than the standard and devitksa.

Also enjoying my quart can of altbier now. Also great.

I've now sampled all of the varieties I've gotten. I think the KOLSCH is my favorite.

Pick up at Notch could not be any easier. Order, pay, and tip* online, walk out to the Biergarten and grab your goods. All the orders are clearly marked with your name, zero confusion. Well done, Notch.

*They don’t accept tips but they are collecting donations to, Behind You. A charity that offers assistance to restaurant workers in the area.

Anyone know how far/if Löggerhead hit distro? Trying to find some in the greater Worcester area.

I don’t believe it hit distro.

The Notch 12s from Two Roads have a “best by” date rather than a “canned on” date - does anyone know what the best by window is?

As a rabid Sonic Youth fan I have a twitch seeing that Bull in the Heather's can artwork is referencing a different album than the song came from. Nonetheless...WANT.

seeing this answered every question about what I’m doing this weekend beer-wise for my anniversary. Nice bottle of wine and some lobsters on Sunday night. Notch for, literally, every other drink.

I might even take advantage of the Zwickel case deal too

    Order placed:

    (2) "U"
    (2) heather
    (2) Standard
    (1) DDH IPA
    (1) Zwickel

Not sure if I made the right decision with the DDH IPA. Has anyone had it? I'm wondering if I could have spent that $14 on Tenner quart or another four-pack. Alas, it'll be a change of pace I suppose. I didn't splurge on the Zwickel case (which, before Standard, was my favorite Notch beer) because I plan to spend that money at the Cheese Shop. Anyone been there? What can you tell me? Trying to make a sick charcuterie board for the post-bedtime (for the kids) wine pairing.

Oh, while I'm here. People from that area: What are the other nearby spots that I should consider grabbing a 4-6 pack from? Interested in trying something new. If it helps, I'm picking up beer tomorrow (Thursday) from Notch.

I’ve had a few of the Voll ipas, not the DDH, and while I appreciate the change of pace, I didn’t love them for the style. That said, the Voll lagers have been excellent, no surprise.

I’ve never been, but Gentile is a less than 10 minute drive from Notch. They seem to brew a variety of styles and have a few style options to go per their web store.

Not sure if they're open, but curbside pick up of some food from Howling Wolf wouldn't be a bad decision.

I dig their IPAs. Worth a four pack for sure in my book. They're not my go-to New England IPA, but I like them.

Putting in an order now, because it's my birthday. So why not.

    Oh, and Happy Anniversary!

Heck yeah. Happy birthday, lager friend. Often, I will buy a four-pack of something hop-forward to have on hand because "I'll want one." Then I have half of one and I remember, "I would rather be drinking [insert style here]." It's like smoking. I used to be a smoker. I don't really crave them anymore, but there are times that I'm day-drinking or golfing with a friend who'll offer me one. Theoretically, they're great, but I get a few drags in and wish I wasn't smoking.
