I can confirm it was still flowing last night.

We have a pretty good supply this year, and I expect it to be around for a few more weeks.

Had the non-alcoholic Craft Pils last night. It was a lovely beer, a close cousin to the Session
Pils that will easily fit into my routine. I noticed that it appears to have been brewed in Boulder, Co. I thought Notch contracted with Two Roads for their 12 oz. offerings.

Anyway, a great alternative for me since I limit my weekly beer intake thanks to a post-Covid wonky heart. I could see this used effectively as a pacer beer to wedge in between full strength beers and extend sessions at the brewery or elsewhere.

Off-topic (and off-brand) question: have you tried the Weihenstephaner Helles? I just saw it for the first time in a store. Didn’t even now it was around. I almost never buy imported German beer because I just assume it isn’t fresh.

I’ll chime in since I’ve had it in cans and those have a Best Before date so you could always check it before buying.

Oh yeah, more times than I can count.

Might be my favorite Helles. When it’s really fresh it’s just about a perfect beer.

That being said it does “age” well, probably good out to six months or so.

I would note I’m talking about Weihenstephan Original, not the Helles.

The canned Helles, while similar and still good, is a different beer.

    Thank you for that info.

I’ve had the Original but it was years and years ago, so I have no memory of it. Bought a six pack - it’s about 6 months old, but I’ll give it a try.

Also bought the canned Helles, which has a best by date of March 2022. This is the one i was referring to above, the one I’ve been seeing around lately.

    Festbier was excellent!

Can’t say how much I enjoyed a full L and chit chatting with some great people and dogs.

Love that f’ng place. Also getting to Salem at 8:30 am is the call and easy park.

Beer aside and anyone HC music wise it’s always a pleasure to shoot the shit with Chris Bridge9 for a bit too at his cart.
    Solid day
