Getting a box of beer from Notch is...awesome. Is it weird that I just got this one and I'm already wondering about the next box?

    LOL!

You are what Michael (@TongoRad) would describe as being a "Beer Enthusiast".

    Keep that enthusiasm going!!

    Cheers!

Missed Pitched lined by a day but just enjoyed pours of the Fest and Tenner outside at Salem. Incredible beer, food and weather today.

No pitched but a good amount of Festbier was consumed today in Brighton. In my beer euphoria I forgot to price check some cans I got for buddies. Anyone have the cost of Punto and Fire Walk 4 packs handy?

A Guest Brewery mix-pack of beers?

In an interview with Jaime Bogner (Cofounder and Editorial Director of Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine) Chris Lohring provided a list of six “exceptional beers”:

    · Pilsner Urquell

    · Keesmann Herren Pils

    · Augustiner Edelstoff

    · Andechs Weissbier Hell Hefeweizen

    · Bernard Kvasnicové

    · Catamount Amber

I have yet to drink Keesmann Herren Pils but I hope to someday.

It would be an interesting mix-pack to provide of the above beers.

    Na Zdravi & Prost!

$14.20/4-pack including tax and deposit, I believe.

Hi Chris, I know you're busy, but I'd love to hear a little of your thought process about which beers go into which kind of packaging if you'd be willing to share. Is it more about distinguishing the Voll beers from a marketing standpoint, or do you feel the quality is different in cans vs bottles, price per oz, or something completely different?

Could be wrong, and Chris will likely correct, but believe some of this has to do with carbonation levels. So, the idea of packaging more German offerings via 1/2 liter bottles - to sell by the crate - has been floating around

Episode 600 of beer sessions radio is worth checking out. I stumbled across it on Brienne’s Instagram stories, but this is the first I’ve heard of the show. Chris gives a lot of insight on pitch lined pils among other things. Looks like we will eventually be seeing a lot more of it in the future from the sounds of the episode. Also has some great information and/or opinions on decoction.

Anyone know how long the Stitchfass usually lasts? I've had it a couple times, but only at Salem, and I was there around open at noon.

I'd be going to Brighton, and probably around dinner time.

I feel like it was 60-90 minutes the last time I was there on Friday. It also wasn't tapped immediately at 4 that day.

I'm also heading over to Notch today for the first time in a few weeks. Jonesing for some lagers.

It probably depends on who is there too. If @EnronCFO and I are there, it'll be gone sooner.

Thanks! I suppose I could roll the dice tomorrow and head to Lu Lu’s to have some KBS as a consolation prize. But those kegs will probably last for a couple weeks. And I have Hill Farmstead Marie and Silvaticus/Schilling lagers straight from the breweries in my fridge right now.

Plus Trillium Affogato to split with my roommate, so I’m probably ok.

    Oh, and if I see Celebration that’s a must-buy too…

    A few weeks? I went last Sunday…you disappoint me.[/QUOTE]

Place was packed tonight for that Brighton bazaar event. Nice to see. Had a few rounds at Notch and then dinner at the Stockyard. Highly recommend

I've been heading down there on random Thursday nights (as my schedule allows) as a detour on my run. It gets pretty busy due to bands playing as well.

I did wonder a few things last Sunday when I went though...when are the other spots going to open up? What about Notch Provisions? What about the mug club? (to the left of the area where you order beer there's a cage with spots that look like they're for mugs...)

Altbier Stichfaß is tapped at 4PM in both tap rooms today (Friday). Brighton kicks quicker right now as the Halloween tourist is focused on other things.

The other spots along the biergarten in Brighton are due to open by the end of the year. Everyone had delays due to licensing and permitting battles with the state inspectors.

Mug club steinkrugs have been on order for 6 months, and we finally have them in the US and they are being decorated now. Looking at the first of the year to start the club, so details on sign-ups probably in a month.
