Yup, I drank a sixer of it. Wasn't my cup of tea, but there's very few NA beers that are.

It translates to “strong beer fest”. It’s a lesser known Oktoberfest-style event with stronger beer.

So I imagine it will be like their Oktoberfest event this past fall (with food options and special beers, and of course the glass). I believe there’s going to be three special beers for this. A Rauch Doppelbock, their regular Doppelbock (probably Loggerhead), and I heard a rumor about a dark beer, maybe a stout?

I’d love to go to the Starkbierfest in Munich, since it’s probably mostly locals. They have multiple festivals throughout the year, it’s just that everyone in the world knows about, and goes to Oktoberfest.

On top of @AlcahueteJ points above - The Starkbierfest entails a steel rod submergence (if opting), which acts as a nucleation point: warm caramelized foam to cold refreshing lager via “The Loggerhead Hot Poker”…a thrilling experience

The event page says it runs from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Please tell me that's a typo?

So do Krug Club members get early access to tickets? I thought that was part of the deal.

If you have a cast iron pan you can recreate the Loggerhead experience at home.

Just heat the pan and dip the handle in your Doppelbock.

Sounds dangerous. How do you hold the pan to dip once heated? A fire and a clean metal rod should do the trick.

Would an inanimate carbon rod work?

Can co-sign the cast iron. I heat the handle and hold the pan side with an oven mitt. Delicious.

Yup. I just took two oven mitts and held the pan, then dipped the handle in.

Can’t do a fire. I live in an apartment in the city.
