Ah, bummer. Thanks. Just reread the post and it seems to imply the event will be its draft release. Oh well. Maybe next Friday the 25th then.

The Irish Stout off a Lukr would be cool.

I can think of no better brewery to drink beer from during March madness than Notch (maybe Guinness, considering the occasion).

So are you also going to be at Parlor Sports tomorrow?

There is a golf course about 150 yards away from my house that will have pints of perfectly poured Guinness and hoops on TV. You can find me there.

I’ve walked by that place more times than I count, and know of its reputation as an awesome sports bar, but never been.

I would think if you’re looking for Guinness at a great place to watch sports that’s also an Irish bar, Olde Magoun’s would be the prime spot (I realize Parlor isn’t an Irish bar).

PJ Ryan’s and Hugh O’Neill’s would also fit the bill. And all three have great craft beer lists too.

Yeah, but Notch is sponsoring March madness at Parlor. And Parlor said they’d turn the sound on for the games, which not everyone will do (for some dumb reason).

Parlor is the best sports bar in the Boston area IMO.

Tomorrow (Friday 3/17) is supposed to be beautiful. I am assuming the Brighton spot will be mobbed. Do they make you wait in line to get in or something? How do they handle large crowds?

It's a rule for most bars that you have to blast mindless top 40 hits.

Even some breweries have this "rule"...

That’s why I like it when Chris controls the playlist at Notch

Yes. If it’s busy enough for a line it will be along the building heading towards Soldiers Field Road. I’ve only experienced a line there for an event, Oktoberfest, where they checked IDs at the entrance of The Speedway.

They open at noon on Fridays so I’m sure crowds will come in waves and I’d be surprised by any lines until post work, unless everyone plays hooky tomorrow.

There was a long(ish) wait on the last beautiful day on a Saturday. I think the Saturday of President's Day weekend.

Also, does anyone know if cans of the 12th Anniversary and Irish Stout are available at Brighton as of yesterday? Was thinking of swinging through today.

Weekends (and good weather ones) are a different story. I’ve only been on a couple of them in Brighton.

Per IG from this morning, cans should be there.

    Awesome, thanks!

Yeah I was a little confused with the draft talk here whether they actually had cans. I've also seen cans advertised on IG, but for certain reasons they weren't there due to unforeseen delays.

If you all could leave a parking spot open at 12:30 tomorrow that’d be great. Running in for the new cans after Pre K pickup and hoping to get home before Mrs Floozbag notices how long I’ve been gone for.

Would be entertained to know how the other pale lagers faired in technique (e.g. Desítka-10°P vs. the 12°P)

    12th:
    • 90 Minute Mash Boil (30 minute intervals)
    • 5.6 PH
    • 120 Minute Wort Boil (2-Hours)

Others/10th: Potentially a similar PH level with a 60 minute mash boil & 90 minute wort boil?

Oh no, I found the dreaded “We tried to deliver your package” sticker from UPS n my door when I got home.
Luckily, the wife is working from home tomorrow and will be around if they try to re-deliver during work day hours.
(And I still have cans of Tenner in the fridge)
