Thanks, @epoole3 and @Rug, Cooper's Corner is a great beer source. There were plenty of Notch beers, and all except one were in the fridge. A couple of them were old (like from February), but the rest were from June and July. I ended up with 5 skipping the super old and styles I usually don't like. Also grabbed a couple of East Rock beers.

I've got jury duty tomorrow in Peabody, so that means an otherwise unscheduled trip to Notch Salem (it's 2.5 miles away from the court). I guess there's a silver lining to everything.

Anyone know the price on the Hefe party keg?

    I've never had German Afternoons.

Prices have varied by style when available, but I think $35-$40.

I can't think of any reason I shouldn't have 5L of Hefe in my fridge for a hot weekend.

The 5L party keg was $35 when I went to Brighton about 10 days ago.

Sent home from jury duty + 4 pm opening = disaster! No Notch visit.

I would have went up the road to Back Beat and/or Gentile for some English ales. Then made my way to Salem for a late lunch until the 4 pm opening.

Maybe pick up some cookies at Goodnight Fatty to bring home to the wife and kiddos.

I am a judges dream. Perfect juror. Journalistic training. Easy for me to be impartial, but happy to express opinions. Would’ve been nice to do that then wash it down with a Tenner

RANDOM QUESTION: Anyone been to the Trustees of the Reservation “Date Night Concerts” in Andover, with the Notch Mobile Beer Garden Van? Just wondering if it’ll be Session Pils and LOTD, or if they’ll have something more “interesting"?
    TIA

Yes. I've been going to the Friday night concerts. Session pils and radlers only at least a couple of weeks ago. It's a cool spot though.

While the topic is on the Mobile Biergarten; would like to see Chris employ the Daisuke approach (Japan Tapster)...in regards to the "Traveling Beer Truck" -

In my experience, yes, Session Pils and LOTD. Cool place to hang, but man I’d love another couple options (this coming from someone who has a session pilsner 12 pack at their home right now)
